Natasha nodded and stood up, throwing her trash away and placing the tray on a stack. She sighed deeply as she had forgotten about her headache, she just went to her sleeping quarters and laid down on her bed, and soon fell asleep. Though the same dream, more of a mental flashback remained in her sleep.
FlashBack (Made together with Dragonwoman)
Natasha laughed with her comrades before hearing a loud yelling and many moans coming from the lower rooms of the ship. She gritted her teeth but made no sound and pointed to the door, un-holstering her weapon and ran to the door, picking up a walkie talkie and tuning it to a near ship freq, “Hello? We have problems aboard our ship, We need help immediately, over and out.” She said and turned off her comm. And ran through the door only to see her comrades eating each other, “Oh my god…” She said, unable to raise her weapon, but be frozen in fear.
The small craft sat waiting in the small lapping of waves. The youngest crewmember aboard was surprisingly the officer in command and she turned her head to face the comm officer who nodded. The crewman manning the pilots seat sped the team off toward the locale of the transmission. Inwardly Jing hoped they weren’t too late.
Natasha stared at them until the two soldiers she was talking to ran in and began firing at the flesh eating zombies, "Natasha, Come on! They are already dead, It's over for them, We're the last resort.. Now kill-- ACK!" One of the female soldiers said, and it ended with her being taken to the ground, being bit on the neck. Natasha had tears swelling up in her eyes and one of her closest friends came towards her, ready to devour her. Natasha began to cry as she raised her weapon and began firing at the head of her friend and turned around and ran, shooting behind her, "Why..." Was all she could say.
The small vessel tore through the small waves and it wasn’t long before they’d arrived at the locale. Unclipping her weapon from her utility belt, Jing and two others boarded the vessel. Moving swiftly and quietly, she made her way below deck and grimaced as she released two shots from her gun into the body of an undead crewmate, “Fantastic…” She muttered grimly and heard shots coming from her left. Jogging off stealthily it wasn’t long before she found a survivor. She paused, gun at the ready. “Miss? You called for assistance?” She said loudly and clearly.
Natasha looked over with tears in her eyes and almost tripped over some crates. She didn't take the time to answer before continueing her shooting, unloading the clip and reloading the gun, "Dear god!" She screamed as she continued shooting with blind eye. Her eye patch made it hard for her to shoot, because her right eye was filled with tears.
Jing swiftly moved to the woman, she was now beyond a good mental health and it was clear that what had happened here had scarred her deeply. Taking a hold of the woman’s shoulder she hugged the survivor to her body and hushed her slowly, “It’s over now…they’re gone…c’mon hun…helps here.” Having done this time and time again, her tone was calm and soothing.
Natasha dropped the gun and wiped her eye before looking at the woman who held her, "W-- Why to this ship..." She muttered under her breath, not moving from the woman's hold, instead pushed herself closer and continued crying, "T-- They were my friends...." She sobbed, "D-- Did i k- Kill them all..?"
“No…Umbrella killed them hun. You gave them peace.” Jing replied simply and continued to hug the woman. Hearing the footfalls of her comrades, they paused at the door when she nodded and it wasn’t long before she separated herself briefly from the survivor, “C’mon, lets get you out of here ok?” Pulling the young woman up to her feet and supporting her with an arm around her shoulder the pair made their way back to the boat.
Natasha sniffled a few times and walked, "I-- I still.. Put bullets.. in them..." She continued crying, "T-- they died infront of me.. B-- but I didn't get hurt at all.." She snifled again and shook her head, "I have.. too many.. lucky stars..."
Jing smiled slightly, wishing that soon they’d be back on the freightor and things would begin to look up. She nodded and sighed slightly, “Umbrella released the virus that killed them hun, you did shoot them but in doing so you released them from the hell they where re-animated into. You saved them.”
Natasha frowned at what the woman said, "I- guess... But they were.. my only friends..." She explained as she walked, with Jing's support.
Jing hugged the woman to her slightly, stuck for words for the first time. They arrived at the rescue boat and one of her crewman helped the survivor aboard, Jing followed soon after. Casting off they raced away from the wreckage and toward the looming figure of the Chinese ship.
Natasha watched as the ship that held the corpses of her friends slowly drifted with the waves, unable to remove her sight from the boat, "T-- they won't.. get back up... will they?" She asked, "I.. I don't want them to be .. shot again.." She said before plucking a grenade from her sode and pulling the pin and throwing it on board her ship, making sure the grenade landed next to gas supplies, and as it exploded, the ship was set fire.
Jing drew back from the explosion then looked to the woman, shaking her head. “No, they’re dead now and in the care of the gods.” She said slowly, watching as the orange flames consumed the ship.
Natasha nodded, slowly, and took off her eye patch, revealing her eye lids closed with a scar running through. she rubbed where the eye patch had imprinted her face and put the patch back on, "Where are we going... and I'm not going to go through any strip searches or be isolated from anyone..."
Jing turned back to the woman, “Im afraid you’ve no choice hun…for the safety of both yourself and the others on the ship you’ll have to. But you wont be alone, me and my boys here have to go into isolation too. It’s procedure and I’m afraid its unavoidable.”
Natasha grit her teeth, "I won't..." She said, "I'd rather be thrown into the water..." She said insistantly, "I.. I'm scared of being all by myself..."
“You’ll be fine hun, we have enough in there to keep you sane while you’re in isolation. I’ll have a laptop in my room and there’ll be one in yours so we can talk. So you wont really be alone at all…ok?” Jing was becoming worried, this could present some serious problems.
Natasha shoot a look at Jing, "Do you understand what claustrophobia is?" She asked, with a bit of anger thrown in, "In my case, I have to have someone else in the room. Look at me, I haven't a scratch!" She said and showed her arms and legs, "There is no reason to isolate me!"
“We can’t be sure of that. Its for your safety too hun. I’ll be in the room right next to you.” It had been a shorter trip for some reason in Jing’s eyes and they’d finally arrived at the mothership and docked. Moving off the rescue boat she took a final chance to settle the woman down, “Please…just trust me.”
Natasha grit her teeth and nodded, "I-- I better not be in there for too long... I'll go insane.." She said, as she followed Jing slowly, sadness still filling her eyes and body.
