Ah, so you really mean the real flowers. 😊Well, I were asking Prince if he knows what Dulia and Hyperdulia are [u]when used in Catholic Doctrine. 🙂
I don't recognize that, as it contradicts bible, and catholic teaching. I refer only to Catechism of the Catholic Church, and if it says Mary and the Saints are to be honored, than honored they shall be.

The Catechism also teaches that you honor Mary. Well, that's good.
I also honor Mary as the mother of Jesus, I honor Adam as God's first human creation, I honor Moses, Noah, Abraham, the Prophets, the Aposltes. I honor them, because they are God's people. I also honor my parents - my father and mother - for that is the second important commandment with promise.
My question is: How do you honor Mary?
As the Queen of Heaven?
As the Mediatrix?
As the Co-Redemptrix?
As the one having an empire where all things and God included are subject to her?
As the one having a great power which wields over the one who is God?
These were the proclamations of your Saints.
You honor your Saints - and it doesn't end there - you also honor their images, relics and works.
How can you disregard the Saints proclamation while honoring them at the same time?

There you admit that Catholic teachings regarding Dulia and Hyperdulia contradict the Catechism itself. Do you know what it is called? It's INCONSISTENCY in doctrines. The Catechism also teaches that you honor Mary. Well, that's good.

I honor Mary as the new eve. For the old eve brought sin and death into the world, the new eve brought life and reedemption. I honor her as an intersesor, and thus pray to her, to pray for me. Just like I would pray to St. Anthony when I would lose or forget something. That is why they get the names "Patron Saint of Lost Items", "Patrent Saints of the Poor" "Of Lawyers"...and so on. You dont worship them, you simply ask for their help in the details. And the icons thing, you couldn't be more wrong (and I say this with the utmost curtisy). When We look at idols, we dont "worship" the idols let alone the actual image, but when we pray to the idols we are inturn praying to the idol beholder. For example, if the idol was a picture of St. Thomas Aquinas, and I was about to go into a very difficult case, I would look toward the idol/image and say a quick prayer TO ST. THOMAS OF ACQUINAS NOT THE IMAGE. The image can't do jack, so why pray to it, when it's what the image holds that we focus on it. When you look at a portrait, do you look only at the portrait and think of who made it and it's purpose? Or do you see a family, or fields of grass. Mountains that scrape the sky, or maybe Christ on the Cross and what that symbolism means.
Okay. Let's disregard the 'images' of your Saints, Prince.
But this doesn't change the fact that Catholics WORSHIP Mary and their Saints.
If you stil insist you don't, so I may ask you again this question (or shall I rephrase?)
If you worship and honor God through ADORATION or LATRIA, how do you call the 'honor' you offer to the Saints and to Mary, according to your Catholic authorities? Aren't they called DULIA and HYPERDULIA respectively?
And by the way, Prince... shall we just IGNORE this fact?
What is a saint? A Saint in the strict sense of the word, is one who is in heaven, and has been presented by the Church for the public worship of the faithful. Is the worship of the saints confined to their persons? The worship of the saints is not confined to their persons, but it extends also to their relics and images.
Ought we to worship holy images? We should have, particularly in our churches, images of Our Lord, as also of the Blessed Virgin and the saints.
- Catechism of Christian Doctrine No. 3
pp. 94-95
First of All it is of Christian Doctrine. Not Catechism truth but to answer you question this is what "I" do and my support:
"All generations will call me blessed" (Luke 1:48) : "The Church's devotion to the Blessed Virgin is intrinsic to Christian worship." (LG 66). The church rightly honors "the Blessed Virgin with special devotion. From the most ancient times the Blessed Virgin has been honored with the title 'Mother of God' to whose protection the faithful fly in all their dangers and needs...This is very special devotion...differs essentially from the adoration which is given to the incarnate Word and equally to the Father and the Holy Spirit, and greatly fosters this adoration." (LG 66) The Liturgical feasts dedicated to the Mother of God and Marian prayer, such as the Rosary, an "epitome of the whole Gospel," express the devotion to the Virgin Mary.
-CCC pg 253 2673-2679
Calling Mary, the mother of Jesus, "Blessed" is a just. Why? Because she was chosen by God for a purpose.
In fact, not only Mary was called "Blessed"... and a lot of them.
"Blessed are those who give to the needy"... etc.
"Blessed" are those whom God chooses to be His servants. And Mary was indeed a faithful servant to God.
Now, does this mean that we worship Mary through a Catholic term HYPERDULIA?
Here, you might insist again that you are not worshiping Mary. But, why are you not answering my question, Prince? Too difficult to answer a YES-NO question?
If you worship and honor God through ADORATION or LATRIA, how do you call the 'honor' you offer to the Saints and to Mary, according to your Catholic authorities? Aren't they called DULIA and HYPERDULIA respectively?
You cannot simply say you do not recognize this concept. As a Catholic, you must. Because these terms were defined as part of the Catholic Church's official doctrine and belief.
I'm still waiting for your answer Prince. Anyway, if you cannot answer the question just say so. I can understand. 🙂
