You versus a gorilla or Bear

You have been taken into the jungle/woods by members of the mutant liberation front and stranded there because you supported the mutant registration act. You hear a rustling and a Bear/gorilla. appears. Who in the forum thinks they can take it, and how would you do it. I am interested to find out as I am going to Canada soon and I hear they have bears there!

take a shot gun ^__^..or else you better be a really fast runner...cos a bear or gorilla would totally merk you

agree.....there is nothing you can do to a bear unless you are a good runner

Well i think you should know that this is the wrong forum for it but...

If you have a spear you can throw yourself on the floor at the last moment setting it against the floor and allowing the weight of the bear to do the work for you. Usually bears are non agressive unless they have a cub though. So if you were actually trying to kill it might let you get really close before showing any agressive behavior. If it runs at you you're not going to out run it, so I hope you're faster than your friends.

Trying to take on a gorilla is generally a bad idea (duh.) but if one attacked you it might be satisfied to just beat you up a bit (just act like you're completley dominated, which shouldn't be hard.)

Do we get any weapons?

Am I in character or out for blood?

They leave you with a knife a bit like that old episode with kirk when he gets chased by the alien and makes a cannon. Prep time only if you can find away to get away from the animal long enough.

Nah it'd work with the bear, they're generally not interested in human meat.

To hell with fighting a bear....you can't do shit to get away from 'em.

Gorillas are ground animals, they can't climb trees very well at all.
(orangutans can but gorillas are 99% ground animals)

I'm confident in my ability to give a gorilla a swift kick to the nads if he gets too close, but otherwise id climb a tree and try to throw the knife as best i could. If i miss, ill just like...stay in the tree.

The bear will **** you up no matter what.
The gorilla you have a chance.
