But, doesn't Namor have any GOOD strength feats?!
Lifts fully loaded tanker (about 110,000 tons without any load, nearly 200,000 with load)Lifts an WWII destroyer that weighs somewhere between 2000-3000 tons and slams it into Attuma with ease.
While being held down by Magneto's power, Namor slams his fists to the ground and makes an impact that causes the entire island to quiver.
During an underwater collision, Namor hits Hulk so hard that he flies miles back to the shore and reverts back to Banner. The impact also creates massive tsunamis and earthquakes.
During a fight against mind-controlled Hulk, Namor creates a massive tidal wave that wipes out an entire island and knocks out Hulk on the same time.
Carries a 50 ton anchor in his right hand.
Namor lifts an submarine and places it safely to shore.
Namor shoves an battleship to safety without trouble. That kind of ships weigh somewhere between 10,000 tons to 50,000 tons, but if I am wrong, inform me.
Namor gets an ship (about 100,000 tons) to safety.
Then you have more recent stuff like balancing Utopia, his younger self taking it to Wonderman/Ares, withstanding a full on "Mega Optic Blast" by Cyclops, looking more impressive vs Sentry than Thing did, etc..
But guess what, all this STILL DOES NOT MATTER, and if Jake objects because of his "continuity" argument, I got PROOF from Marvel's top dog that "continuity" don't mean sh|t.
Thing wins.

Well, unless I'm mistaken, these match or exceed anything Thing has done on panel strength wise :Then you have more recent stuff like balancing Utopia, his younger self taking it to Wonderman/Ares, withstanding a full on "Mega Optic Blast" by Cyclops, looking more impressive vs Sentry than Thing did, etc..

What "proof" would that be?

If the Phoenix is destroyed, so is the entire universe. Do your research. The Phoenix Force has not been destroyed.Or maybe the thing that said that was wrong. Or maybe those conditions have changed. You realize that we make all of this stuff up, yes? It's fiction.
The NOW is what matters.

Tom Brevoort saying fxxk continuity. This is why the IG works despite the fact the LT ruled they will never again work in unison. This is why the PF was destroyed and nothing happened to the universe (despite the events of Excalibur 25). This is why Namor being stronger than the Thing in past issues means nothing. The NOW is what matters. [/B]
@Jake, sadly, I have to somewhat concur brah. I've seen some quotes from Brevoort and others over there would leave you scratching your head. They don't give a phuck about continuity. To put it in perspective, remember Rick Remender's comments regarding Psylocke's lack of tk? That's a philosophy pretty much the status quo over there nowadays.
Of course how this all fits into what we do here in the vs forums is prolly another matter.

spiderman and devil? that effort ...
Doom was defeated by the Thingtalk about She Hulk, Black Bolt and the Silver Surfer?
they all beat Namor, and they were all beaten by the Thing
Sue happens to be the most powerful member of the FF. Especially when bloodlusted. She'd wreck Ben, too. Her forcefields are more durable than him and she's just too versatile and skilled in using her power.
Wasn't Surfer beat with a sucker shot?
Namor performed better against Wolverine than Grimm did, too.

Those feats from page ago should've definitively ended the thing/namor strength comparison in namors favor. What are we still discussing?
for you, maybe
I repeat:
FF9, Ben Grimm proves stronger than Namor wet, on the land
AVX, Thing's punch> Namor's punch
Uncanny X-Men: wet Namor can not prevail over what
AVX 5, Grimm blocks Namor
FF149, Ben defeats Namor
compare the feat is useless if there are any direct clashes
Namor has oneshotted thing ON LAND.
