Alrighty, so the other three Houses already averaged their totals which was very handy - but you say Slytherin just put the Total marks for each sig or both together averaged? 'Cos if the scored both sigs for every House and averaged them out of 15 then all you have to do is just use the total marks from each House to see who won.

Thanks to you are who were patient, but now the resluts for the First Inter-House Challenge are finally in!
Okay, for each house, I tallied up the scores that were sent to be from each houses Prefects. I added the 2 entry's scores together and divided it by 15. The winner is:GRYFFINDOR!

Huffelpuff #1 10.5+15+12+11+= 48.5
Huffelpuff #2- 5+13.5+12+13.3=43.8
92.3/15=6.15%
Slytherin #1-13+13+12+14.5= 52.5/15=3.5%

Ravenclaw #2-10+10+12+14=46
90.5/15=6.03%
Griffindor#1- 11.5+15+13+9=48.5=3.23

As much as I can see there is big disapointment among the other houses, and I can not blame them. Frankly without any personal feeling (nothing from the Hogwart caffe, I'm honest now), I think Slytherin had the best sig, because I liked the animation.
1.Another point as Tassie took 10 points from Griffyndor I didn't saw that those points were calculated in the final scores.
2. Since this was the first game, and we started it, for a strategic point of view another house should have won, "remember to keep it going" and the others to get a feeling of ownership.
So, the head boy and girl should do something about, cause as the sorting hat said in the SORTING HAT thread " the place will blow".
Now the others simply do not trust us any more, and why should they?I knew it would come to this (not that I'm happy)
Tassie and Rogue, DO SOMETHING, or all the efforts will vanish, it will be for nothing!
I'm available if anyone would like to consult me how to get out of this mess.
All the "minuses" < which are the points deducted from houses, will add up, and at the end of the month, then they'll be minused from the total.. it'll be easier i think
Or if, when the first challenge is seriously done judged, then we can minus the points from that total

Unicor, thanks for the help. Honestly, people were urging us so to caculate the scores that I think we kind of "rushed" things. Instead of taking our time with the problems we just made a "quick" decision and now we have all of these problem.

Okay, regarding the first Inter-House Challenge scores. First, let me explain the problem:
1.)The Slytherin's only submitted 1 sig, while the other houses submitted 2. The other houses scores would be averaged (between there 2 sigs) and it would turn out that Gryffindor wins.
Slytherin's would only have one solid score, with nothing averaged.
2.) But at the same time, if we didn't average any scores and just got the highest scorer, Slytherin's would win.
Either way, someone gets jipped.
I didn't think that it was fair that Slytherin's win becuz the rest of the houses would be averaged scores and they wouldn't be. Or at least the 2 sigs would be added together??
But at the same time, I do not think that it is fair that someone else win and Slytherin's get cut out becuase they only submitted 1 sig.
So for this first challenge, we are calling it a tie between Gryffindor and Slytherin.

I COME IN PEACE! *waves flag* lol I have no idea where our prefect is.. I’m just taking the initiative so we can get this on with. If it’s a tie between Slytherin and Gryffindor we’re gonna have to get together and decide something for the next challenge. I suggest both houses come up with some ideas independently.. then the 2 prefects and a couple others maybe from both houses have a conference on yahoo IM and give our ideas and vote. What do you think? PM me with your thoughts. *backs out of the room* lol

Agreed. We do need to get the ball rolling.
Since this was a tie, I think both houses should come up with an idea as planned. Yes last time we came up with something, but remember that that was our 1st one. Someone had to start it, so Tassie and I talked.
