Well as much as i'd like it, the fighting style's used with those weapons are completly different then what Jedi's use. I don't think it would be very pratical, just nice looking. Those blades often relied on speed or more power then a normal blade, but seeing as a Lightsaber is light as shit you won't be able to attack faster with a blade like that. And you won't be able to put more power into them either because well the lightsaber is like as shit and you would still put the same power in it not the weight.
Other weapons require you to become so incredibly close that you would need incredible speed to do it especially against a Jedi. I don't think anybody can be that fast. Still I like the idea, but if somebody creates it in SW he or she would have a lot of thinking to do on how it all fits in.
