Battle of the Next-Generation Consoles

You state that as a fact when PS3 was the fastest selling console in the UK on release. Seeing as the PS3 isn't really been beaten at all you can't claim that it is.

Many people do not know that to actually use Blu-Ray to its fullest you need a 1080p TV with a high resolution rate and using the HDMI cable. When placed side by side the difference is very noticeable.

Please. Everyone I know is a complete geeks when it comes to anything technological.

We all have 1080 TV's.

So game reviewers just give it good reviews because they are bias? Give credit where credit is due.

Funny, I've read quite a few magazine reviews that state that Halo 3 is just like Halo 2, just with "better graphics".

PS3 has free online play and a larger hard drive. Though with the release of the Elite 360(higher price though) it has a larger hard drive but still only has a normal DVD drive.

My point was to prove that even with a Wii-mote the end result is still the same as if you were using a normal control.

And my point was that you can over-generalize anything.

Maybe I should state it again. There is nothing special about the Wii-mote. Its just the same as any other control.

Your exactly correct. Instead pressing a button to strike with a sword on the 360 remoet ,you can just swing it!

Well, I find it frsitrating too. If I sit down to play I do it to do nothing not to do some gymnastics or so...

exactly, and theres the fact that if you have a different consle, with a regular controller, and if you move slightly, with the remtes in your hands, the game will do something that you don't want it to, and the graphics are outdated by the 360 and ps3

Not a fact. I don't own a Wii, I own a 360, yet I have never had any problems using the Wii-Mote. I adapted instantly.

And as AC will tell you, graphics really mean nothing, as long as the game is fun.

Why do we buy new consoles if all we're really getting is newer graphics?

and before you come up with the idea that the Wii-mote is worth getting a new console for I'm sure the Wii-mote could easily have been implemented with the Gamecube.

With that attitude we'd be stuck playing pong.

yea, but why buy a console thats worth $999 when its pretty much the same as an xbox 360, except that it has the worthless gimmik, as you say, blue ray
the only real seller for ps3 would have to be metal gear solid, but compared to halo and mario, it isnt likely to sell as well as the latter..

Wii would have been the best IF nintendo had put more money into it, and if they had made some way of not making you change the batteries every 5 hours, plus, all of their good games next to ssx blur and twilight princess( which is NOT an exclusive) are yet to be released, it'll take till a month before halo 3 comes out, to release super smashbros: brawl (which looks awesome unless they rape it with the overused and overrated wii-mote)

The Wii managed to sell nearly 7 million consoles without these "good games" so...what's going to happen when the "good games" do come out?

less mindless consumerism, more good games

~the hand of judgement that is not opposed to the wii, but knew it would be raped by low budget, games, graphics, and from people buying something that was a good idea, but wasn't executed well enough.

p.s. if you like the idea: invest in one like it, or tell nintendo to make a higher quality consle, one that doesn't revolve around a single idea, and has the characteristics of what seems like a giant, nintendo DS (sony has let us down, but microsoft has gotten off the short bus)
