Battle of the Next-Generation Consoles

I don't see how the Wii has been raped, it sold more in five months then the 360 has in a year.

I am going to buy a PS3, this week maybe, next for sure, cant wait.

ps3 is a little expensive, but if you have the money, then why not?

and as for you burnt pancakes, people bought the wii because it was a new idea, it is a good idea, but has not had enough time and money put into it to make it a good as it should be. i was probably the biggest wii fanboy on the planet, until i played one for a while, and then played the PS3, and "saw the light" if you will, i just think that it was good, if you don't compare it to the next gens, i don't classify the wii as a next gen, because of the fact that, it has lower tech than the 360, and almost the same amount as the slim ps2.

Really? Isn't this like the DS vs PSP argument? Everyone said the DS is a cheap gimmick that would never sell and the PSP would win. But guess what? The DS is the best selling console of all time. Every third party developer has left the PSP and third party developers are beginning to leave the PS3.

Face it: the Wii has managed to sell 7 million consoles and the PS3 hasn't even reached 2 million.

I've refuted all of these bullsh*t arguments before. If you're such a man who knows his facts, then I dare you to go into the console discussion thread and just say that the PS3 is better because it has Blu-Ray and has better graphics. Better yet, tell that to Alpha Centauri, LOL.

First off, no one really gives a damn about blue-ray...and the reason you have to pay for xbox live is because good things arnt free. PS3 is in the gutter..accept it.

I don't know why so many people are saying the PS3 is doomed when its selling just as good as when the Xbox 360 was first released.

the thing is. the ps3 has lost all of it's exclusives to the 360blahblahblah....AND think about the fact that the 360 did not sell well because of the bugs and badness that it was experiencing, ps3 has few bugs and such, BUT it is only going downhill. due to lack of exclusives, price, and the abscence of a rumble feature. let's not forget, the fact that the only game that will actually use the ps3 to it's full potential is MGS4, and maybe tekken 6 will use some, but right now the graphics and gameplay, don't look as good as the 360 and that, is surprising, in conclusion, the ps3 is AWESOME if you only look at it's lost potential as though it weren't lost.

You know what? In 2005 when the 360 and the DS both came out that same year the DS won 2005 System of the Year, not the 360. Also the DS has sold 40.29 million systems compared to the 360's 12 million. That's more then 3 times.

At the event, Nintendo's console won the Game Critics Awards for Best of Show and Best Hardware. In the December 2006 issue of Popular Science the console was awarded with the Grand Award Winner in Home Entertainment. Spike TV's Video Games Award also granted the console the award in breakthrough technology. GameSpot chose the console as the Best Hardware on their Best and Worst 2006 awards show. The system was also chosen as one of PC World magazine's 20 Most Innovative Products of the Year.
