liverpool did really well... carragher and hyypia were outstanding... they have a definate chance of taking the second leg... though losing alonso is a massive blow...
the pfa... what a joke...
Petr Cech (Alright, sure, he's quality)
Gary Neville (why why why why why why why why why)
John Terry (Ok... but carvalho was better imo...)
Rio Ferdinand (Instead of Carvalho? Richard Dunne? what are they smoking?)
Ashley Cole (*cough*fvck off*cough* gabriel heinze? william gallas? wayne bridge?)
Frank Lampard (Meh, no surprise)
Steven Gerrard (see above)
Arjen Robben (Excuse me? and he's been injured for how long? where's duff?)
Shaun Wright-Phillips (One of the best english players today, but not his best season... again what about duff?)
Thierry Henry (No other choices...)
Andrew Johnson (I wonder if he was scottish would he have made the team?)
Hi guys. I would have wanted a Liverpool - PSV final just to "spite" the club aristocrats and have the darkhorses fight it out. But that won't stop me from enjoying a more realistic Chelsea-AC Milan final. Come Wednesday and Thursday morning here in Manila though, I'd be cheering Liverpool and PSV respectively. (And yeah, go for the FA Cup, Arsenal!)
something i never thought i'd say as a man u supporter... pool deserved the win...
chelsea showed to be severaly lacking without duff and robben (who even when he came on wasnt great)
mourinho whined about liverpool defending so much... if he wasnt playing a log ball system so much they might have got something...
they had what, 85 minutes to get a goal? they had two good chances, and were simply bested... chelsea cant chase a football match, and that was confirmed tonight... mourinho likes to counter attack... he couldnt do that against liverpool...
carragher (who i never rated) was outstanding, hyypia, traore and finnan were good... hamman and biscan were rock solid...
congrats...
As my adopted team in the Champs League (with Arsenal and Real Madrid out...), I am so proud of Liverpool. I was never sentimental about the much hoped for Liverpool win in the same year as a Pope was elected and Prince Charles getting married (it was more of a funny coincidence for me), but what do I know? They beat a seemingly unbeatable Chelsea, and Cech who hasn't been making costly mistakes lately. They defied statistics, and they played realistically --- never hoping for a grandiose win, just the simple one that will take them to the finals in Istanbul. And they did. I still couldn't believe it. at 2:34AM in the morning, with that Garcia goal (questionable but a score nonetheless), I thought I was dreaming!
eh..hello everyone! lol..rite. man u's been the ONLY team for me ever since i got myself hooked on great football and i still think they're fine. 'Cept they haven't been doing veh well nowadays though, wad wif chelsea and gang being kinda impressive. well, gd luck 2 man u for their following matches. *crossing my fingers* ^.^
