this is the group. just on case you dont understand some of the table, i'll explain.

Each team plays each other twice, totalling in at 10 games altogether.

(P) PLAYED
(W) WON
(D) DRAWED
(L) LOST
(F) GOALS SCORED
(A) GOALS CONCEDED
(GD) GOAL DIFFERENCE

if you take aways the goals you have conceded from the goals you have scored then you get the goal difference..if both teams have the same points, then whoeva has the highest goal difference goes in front.

okay...
so we won almost all matches 😊

but..ermm... what for are you getting those points? bag
coz i understand the goals and wins/losts part 😕

3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw

gotchya..
so we lost that last game and england wins thier both..so they're in the lead, right?

england have two games left to play, they have to play poland and i think austria
poland have 1 game left to play and thats against england

so if england win austria and then win poland, england will finish top of the group

but we're winning with england 😊

if i was England manager:

-revert to 4-4-2
-tell beckham to either prove he's worth being in the squad or start warming the bench.
-put beckham back on the right of midfield, and kick the shit out of him if he wanders a single yard infield ever again.
-fire steve mclaren
-bring in Kirkland instead of James
-tie Gerrard and Lampard together with a 10ft rope during training so they actually learn how to play together and pass effectively, and set up the strikers.
-fine Rooney heavily for every time he gets a yellow card for anything other than a genuine mistake.

Gerrard and Lampard need to have this drilled into their heads:
whenever 1 of you gets the ball, the first thing you should think of is "where is he?" - and the other should be thinking "where's the best postition for me to be in for an attacking pass to be played to me?"

because seriously, they don't have a clue how to play together - quick 1-2's directly through the centre between Gerrard and Lampard and then a quick feed onto the run of Owen or Defoe and you've got yourself a goal scoring oppurtunity every time. Sven thinks we need to play wing-football, but out quality is our central strength! - 2 of the best fundamental central midfielders you're ever gonna find and a quick predatorial striker at the front.. with wonderkid Rooney filling gaps and generally just working magic all the time.

SW-P/Beckham and Joe Cole should be a secondary attack option, we don't have strong aerial strikers! why attack through the wings? it's going nowhere... even when we're attacking on the wings, i'd insist they both draw inwards and feed low-cutting balls rather than aerial ones.. or even crossing to the edge of the box - because Gerrard, Rooney and Lampard are all more than capable of striking the ball into the back of the net from that range.. they make their careers doing that kinda thing!

i can agree with most of that. but i do honestly think that beckham has been one of our best players, i think the 4-5-1 formation suits him but not the rest of the team. so 4-4-2 needs to be the option.

steve mclaren isnt a problem really, he trys hard to motivate and do whats best but it is hard when you have a big swede head in the way.
you could keep beckham in the centre, the reason i say this is because i want shaun wright phillips on the wing. then id play either lampard or gerrard alongside beckham, if lampard or gerrard have to be dropped then so be it, then id play joe cole on the left, perhaps even gerrard.
or another solution is, beckham on the right, shaun on the left and gerrard and lampard in the middle. rooney plays with at least some passion. beckham in the n ireland game decided to work his bollox off the last 20 minutes when he realised we was losing. someone should tell him that a game lasts 90 minutes. the problem is half down to the players and half down to sven.

if Beckham wanted to play centre he'd be 3rd choice behind Gerrard and Lampard imho.
in a few years i'd even have Carrick before Beckham in the centre. - so Beckham puts the graft in ocassionally.. but with the right manager, all players will put the graft in, all the time!

Ian Wright is the most biased guy ever lol. so funny watching him.

i remember in the European cup just gone they showed the camera on him in an england game and he was jumping around the studio 😂

yeh he's a right nut

''All we gotta do is win out next two games, and we're through to the world cup, now comon lads why dont you get behind the lads for a change?''
- Mike Bassett(former england manager 😛 )

famous last words

That movie sucks so bad.

ermm....stupid question.
