From Skysports.comRacing Santander were held to a 1-1 draw by Malaga in a bad-tempered affair at Estadio El Sardinero which saw a total of five players sent off.
Anderson Silva was the first man to see red for Malaga on 22 minutes, but they stunned the home side when Cesar Navas fired them in front on 39 minutes.
Racing drew level right on the stroke of half time when Francisco Casquero found the net.
The numbers were evened up on 64 minutes when Victor Vitolo was dismissed for Racing and things got worse for the hosts when Pablo Pinillos was red carded six minutes later.
Gerardo Garcia was the next man to be sent off to even up the numbers again on 78 minutes.
Racing were reduced to eight men ten minutes from time when David Aganzo was sent off, but they held on to take a point.

Defoe should have scored and i thought he would have he is one of the best finishers in the premiership IMO. but i think that a draw was the fair result in that match.

Agreed we were poor in that game. No sense of urgency until we were behind and our midfield was dominated at times. I agree we missed Tanio, he has been a pleasant surprise this season with his work rate and the way he gets into the box. How long is he out for?

we need to teach Tainio how to play killer balls... we know he can cos i saw him do it when he played Keane through against wigan (sure the defender ****ed up, but...) balls through the defence, or between the defence and the GK. Defoe would have a field day with them.
when Tainio is back we'll pull Jenas in from the wide and play our usual midfield getup.

and there's teams that would kill for our squad strenth... which is something we've never been able to say as Spurs fans before: Davis, Mendes, Brown, Defoe, Kelly, Reid, Lennon, Routledge. we get an injury and we know someone just as good is coming through... i mean Davis is an absolutely outstanding CM, and i think he should get a run out if/when Davids' old age kicks in toward the end of the season

I think Jenas looked a bit lost out on the right against Borough, he seems to have good enough skills to beat players but settles for the safe pass too much. I would like to see him become more of a threat to run at the defense, he is a good passer so the defense would be caught in to mind as to whether to make the tackle or drop off. He's free kick was all class though, we have some real threats at the dead ball situation with Jenas, Carrick, Davids and Tanio. I've heard that Keane and Reid are also dangerous.
I like the strength of our subs bench to, it also give us more flexibility to play different systems according to our opponents.
I am so happy to have Robinson as our keeper, he has pulled off so many world class saves this season alone. He is one of the worlds best in my opinion. His reactions are amazing and another thing i noticed about him is his accuracy with his goal kicks, alot of keepers just blast the ball up the pitch and hope for the best. Robinson varies his kicks alot and hits his target more than most. He is the best keeper we've had since Clemence.
