you have to remember that Beattie plays infront of arguably the weakest midfield in the league atm haha... and has been injured recently, he's actually just on brink of gettin back in form, and wen he is in form he shits all over Bent

I dunno Bent has everything Beattie has (finishing,heading,holding up play and so on) but Bent has one thing Beattie hasn't got... Pace and lots of it.. but i guess that is what Defoe is for 😖

yeh i think bent would bring more to the england team. whoeva sven picks, he will still be 4th choice, right behind crouch, owen and defoe.

Beattie is a much better headerer of the ball than Bent... bent is an allround striker, Beattie has aerial power in abundance and still has a decent amount of skill and quality footwork, if he played for any other team he'd be bagging 20+ a season... i seriously believe that

Michael Owen CAN head the ball... but he's not really an aerial combatant, he can just attack the ball at the front post infront of defenders, not jump up with them

i dont think its essential because beattie would never play from the start. and id bring crouch on over beattie anyday for the aerial abilty.

owen can outjump defenders as he has proved against argentina. all you need is the ability to get in the right place at the right time. and if the crosses from beckham are inch perfect which they nearly always are, then i dont think its a big of a deal to have someone like beattie

noramlly i would want arsenal to win. but seeing as they are playing poor and they have no chance of winning the title, then i will be rooting for manchester united because only them and maybe liverpool can compete for the title

other than that, i see Man Utd winning anyway, Smith and Scholes with support from Rooney will walk all over Hleb and Flamini
