Spurs aren't going to take 4th. It feels inevitable.

I've alread told you to shut it, Doom. Don't make me tell you again!

You can feel it too though.

Can't you?

nothing worth knowing can ever be taught...

We are jittering a little, but I have (committed to a leap of?) faith that we will be resolute enough to secure the 4th place spot.

A casual stroll through the lunatic asylum shows that faith does not prove anything.

arsenal need to be in champions league

id like to see how spurs fair in the uefa cup first.

Learning is facilitated through good teaching.

good indoctrinating u mean

You seem to think that the democratic governments of this world actually have teachers on remote-control, but that's a delusion. Curriculm guidelines are distributed by a central government, but they are ultimately adapted by individual teachers. Some teachers are conservative in nature and some are liberal, so the idea that there is some sort of government-dictated ideology being force-fed to students is wacko, Deano.

If you want any more information on this, start a thread in the GDF.

Back to football...

Beckham to Arsenal? Sounds like a load of rubbish to me. Why would Wenger want wa waning widfielder wafter whe whas wspent wthe whole wof wthis wseason wblooding win wyoung wtalent?

Spurs are going to draw with Newcastle and Man Utd, but will win all their other games this season. That game on April 22nd is a definite 3 points for Spurs, with the score being something like 0-3.

Suck it up, punks. We're the fun-loving Criminals.

Beckham to Arsenal would be a team downgrade of huge proportions.

The only thing he would bring is money.

Wenger said he doesn't want him.

Oh, yeah...I just saw he said that yesterday.

Oh, I'd just like to post this comment in regards to the Crouch debate:

"Peter has never been prolific, and I don't think he is ever going to be."

- Steven Gerrard.

i think everyone knows this...

beckham would be great for arsenal if he went for cheap. henry would get twice the amoutn of goals.

Doubt it. They'd have to alter their style from fast, short passing to incorporate a leaden long-ball merchant.

When he played in the anchor role for England (or for Sven), Lampard and Gerrard became redundant.

Venables was saying yesterday that Crouch is, in his opinion, nothing more than a sub. He thinks Crouch doesn't have the quality to play at the top level, and any 'discomfort' he causes defenders dissipates in about 5 minutes when they realise the man can't play.

Like when he used his superior heading talent in that unmarked situation and pelted it wide.

Or when the cross came in from Kewell and he tried to control it, got caught up in his own feet and then had the ball taken from him.

he's never been great with his head. as for the ball getting caught up in his feet..well you can name several players who have done that. you aint giving him much credit, his legs are 4 feet tall. he is consistantly good with his feet.

Wait, what the f*ck is he being praised for then? If he's not great with his head, why does it matter that he can get to the ball before everyone else? He pelted one wide.

Getting to the ball first and being a good header of the ball aren't connected.

I know I'm not giving him much credit, he doesn't deserve it. You all credit him for his height, then admit he's not good with his head. He's "good for his height" with his feet, but there are better players with their feet (shock horror) than Crouch.

So why is he in the team?

15th May for the Official Team call-ups. Thats the deadline for International Teams.

Ahh, Venables...I love that man.

I also love the argument for Crouch:

"He's tall, so that's good!" - he can't head the ball and he falls over easily.

"He's good with his feet for someone so tall!" - What are you comparing him to? A giraffe?

He's shit. There's nothing more to it. He can't score. His legs get tied up together. He looks like an idiot. He's shit, shit, shit, shit.

...And to think that Rafa thought he'd sell Owen for 12million and buy Crouch for 7million to replace him. Good business.

Not to mention- why the **** do we need someone tall if he can't even head? So he's good for a tall player. WE DON'T NEED TO HAVE A TALL PLAYER. Let's get someone who is good...for a footballer.

Exactly.

Jermain Defoe isn't as good at getting to the ball first, fine. But I bet he'd have finished that chance. He's better with his feet and better at scoring. Use him, don't use someone just because they are tall.
