sorry to drop this question smack into it, but I need to know (cause I want to take a calculated bet) who will win the CL? Arsenal or Barca, why? and how?

that question cannot be answered easily.

both teams will give there all. both teams will try to play beautiful attacking football. it will be too close to call.

but i can guarentee it will be a fantastic game.

I also think it will be a great game.. but I think that Barca might just edge out a win.. I just think that they have the superior strike force.. That is all my prediction is based on.. both teams have great defencive records..

I think it will be very entertaining though and I am really looking forward to it.. My prediction.. Barca 2-2 Arsenal after normal time.. 3-2 Barca after extra time.

id still take him to the world cup. we can get throught the first 3 matches without rooney, maybe the 2nd round match aswell. its the big games (quarter finals and onwards) that we will need him. theres still hope

One player doesn't make a team, infact, they'd probably do better to go into this thinking "We can do this." rather than "We're doomed without him" as most of England's fans seem to believe.

Thats incredibly hypothetical.. But I think yes they would.. They still have people like Robinho, Adriano. Ronaldo among others who can win a game at anytime.

He's A player. If you believe he's going to single-handedly win the world cup for England I seriously suggest waking up. As many people have said before, if Rooney is this single winning machine, Man U would be winning every game. He misses chances and has shit games like any other striker. England have the best team they've had in ages, TEAM. So for you to overlook that and trash them because they've lost a good player, is disrespectful to the team you claim to love.

podgy? (ronaldo) isnt half as good as he was. cicinho is average at best. crap defender. fred is decent. fabiano is a good prospect, but nothing spectacular,farfan and nilmar aint world class just yet. that leaves juninho and adriano who are great players. and im being awfully kind to juninho

without rooney, teams wont be half as intimidated by england. it is a massive blow

I agree. It isn't such a terrible loss if we don't have Owen and Rooney because we can just play Defoe up-front with Lennon in a free-role behind him. Result? World Cup. Ahhthankyouverymuch.

Hahaha "Awfully kind to Juninho". The man is better than most or all of England's squad. Save for maybe Lampard overall.

The key to that last part is that you assume teams around the world are shitting themselves because of Rooney.

If you are so supportive of England's team, then support THEM. Don't throw away their chances when one player is gone. Yes, he's a good player, yes they'd be thankful to have him in the World Cup, but England aren't all of a sudden the shittest team ever just because he's gone. Don't overlook Terry, Gerrard, Lampard, Rio, Robinson, Carrick and people like that.

Similarly, Sven doesn't seem to be able to stop licking Rooney. Has named him no matter what.
