yep, The Tartan Army always win awards when Travelling abroad.

I remember in Kiev, this General didn't allow drinking on the streets of Kiev prior to the Ukraine Scotland game. I think it took like 5minutes for a small group of Scotland fans to change his mind and he lightened up and joined in singing songs with the Scots and Ukraine fans.

Yeah Owen is a worldclass player, always been a fan after that goal against Romania in 98.

That just about sums up the general public's view on any felched player in England.

"I like him, based off that goal he scored once.".

Heskey, not so sure, great work rate. But then again so has Defoe and Rooney *shrugs*.

Heskey wasn't really in there for his workrate, though, it was for his physical presence/target man ability.

now now AC, I was 10 years old when he scored that goal and even I knew he would be big time.

His finishing is second to none, I think sometimes Keepers dont try when he does his trademark kick into the inside of the post.

there have only been 4 english players I have rated who have played for the England National team, Steve McManaman, Paul Ince, Alan Shearer and Owen.

Owens scored some belters for England, he wont be remembered for the romanian goal.

How is that relevant? I said that is typical of the England supporters, liking someone cos they did something good, once.

Second to none? He isn't even the best "finisher" in the league by far. As soon as he scores two goals, after being shit for the past however long, he's all of a sudden the world's best finisher? Take his penis out of your mouth, please.

I don't care who you have and haven't rated. You clearly have the perceptive abilities of a slug.

He's remembered for the Argentina goal, it's still one goal.

whatever dude, I'm Scottish and aint getting into a debate on why an England striker is good at what he does.

Quiet, then.

Stick to the delusion that your country's football team always triumph overseas, and continue adding to that trophy cabinet.

You might not have noticed but he was injured for quite a while, ok he probably isn´t the worlds best finisher but his technical ability and reading of the game is world class, anyone who has an idea about football can see that.

Is there really need for this sort of childish abuse, grow up.

Still one goal? he´s scored 40 goals for england!

Only ..Bobby Charlton = 49, Gary Lineker = 48 , Jimmy Greaves = 44 have scored more. And lets face it he´s going to exceed these eventually.

So Stop being an ignorant offensive WANKER .

He was, at one point. Now? No.

This I will deal with at the end.

It's the one goal most people either remember him for, or like him for. That implication was obvious, keep up.

Eventually, yes, but those were back when he was slightly valuable as a player. He can barely play a full game nowadays.

A) I'm not being ignorant.

B) "Offensive" isn't my responsibility. I can't control what people take offense to.

C) Wanker? To that I say this:

Don't throw stones in a glass house, boy.

Heres another goal to remember him by, old wise man🙂

Nothing special really.

Then again, I'm not one to act like it's shockingly good when a striker beats a man and scores. That's precisely what he should be doing, that's his job. You don't over-tip the plumber when he fixes a pipe.

Congratulations Michael Owen, you scored a goal by beating a player, what do you want, a sweetie?

-AC

Nah, a Ferrari and a kiss on the lips from Steve Mclaren.

Yeah.

'Lips'.

Most of the greatest goals ever scored are due to poor defence....I mean look at Maradonas "greatest world cup goal ever" pish, - and NOT THE HAND OF GOD.

He dribbled past like 6 players and they looked like Zombies, shouldnt of been in the squad for being lazy shits.

Well, is it great or not?

Getting mixed signals from that.

Yeah, that was Maradona, Messi did the same thing and it had nothing to do with poor defense.

I'm not even saying Owen's goals are/were all a result of poor defense, I'm saying the goal you just showed was nothing special, it was something I'd expect a striker to score.

Maradona scored great goals that are quite hard to attribute to shitty defending. Maradona made them look shit, yeah, but there's the difference.

Butcher actually TRIED to hack him down for the penalty, but he missed. He made a concentrated effort to make illegal contact and still got shown up.

Celtic Lost 2:0 Shakhtar Donetsk, is this result of the limited League in which they (celtic) play, OK Donetsk arn´t a bad team but come on, this is the Champions league surely a top club like Celtic should stuff em.

I wonder how Rangers will do against Stuttgart, German champions. They have lost a lot of their top players so they arn´t what they were last season. Gomez is an excellent striker, young and maybe a star for the future.

I can't see Arsenal doing well with all those youngsters.

Mourinho's gone.

I was stunned when I saw that this morning..
