I don't think Arsenal are gonna win the title or any cups with three good players on their team that are bound to get injured at some stage. Their away record will be very poor and they'll leave Anfield with their tails between their legs

Like Birmingham did?

that was at anfield? oh man, liverpool sucks.

Nah, Benitez does. Not playing Torres; what an idiot.

They did have all the usual team out bar him though, so it wasn't the best of showings.

Djourou gave them nothing; he will come back in January to take over from Toure when he goes to the ANC.

a team like liverpool should still be able to beat a newly promoted side at home even if torres isnt playing, especially if you're looking at them as title contenders.

yeah senderos is shit, hopefully gallas gets fit and stays fit for arsenals sake.

No like your team did last March when Crouch humilated you all

Kevy knows shocking amounts of nothing about football.

Oh, the game that meant nothing?

Remember the one at Anfield where Arsenal's kids knocked Liverpool out of the Carling Cup, 6-3?

F.A Cup, 3-1?

Thought not.

Senderos has got great ability, but he's a confidence player. When he's playing well, he's excellent. Playing badly, you have to watch from behind the sofa. Hopefully that will be knocked out of him as he develops.

He is definitely below Djourou, though.

This was meant to be a reply to Phat J; I quoted it incorrectly.

Hehe, look at you guys talking about football characters as if they were real comic book heroes. Cute.

I have to agree, Benitez´s tinkering is annoying. Mind you its like doing a balancing act between all these competitions, you need to give important players a break sometimes after all they are only human, the more they play the more chance they´ll get injured.🙂

Sooner or later you'll suffer if all you intend to buy are Spanish nobodies.

it doesnt come just down to torres, they have 3 other strikers that should be able to break birmingham down.

although to rest him on the league game and give him 90 minutes on the league cup game probably wasnt the best choice. he got a hat trick today against reading, go figure.

Wenger tinkered his whole team tonight.

Still breezed past Newcastle with the kid team (+ Senderos and Eduardo).

Thats a good point, he does keep buying Spanish players. I wonder why, does he consider them superior than others for some reason?

Ok Torres isn´t exactly a nobody but the rest are your right. Maybe Luis Garcia could be another exception after all he has worked himself into the Spanish national team, but before hand he was a nobody.

Why he bought Andrej Voronin from Leverkusen is beyond me & Dirk Kuyt is like a headless chicken.

But he has made a few good buys Ryan Babel & Javier Mascherano are top class Imo., oh and they´r not Spanish, maybe he´s learning.

Managers buy from their own country quite often. Wenger does it a lot (as he knows the football very well), Lawrie Sanchez did it, because he was familiar with some of the players from managing the national team.

I imagine Benitez does it for the same reasons as Wenger. He just doesn't do it as well as Wenger does.

Wenger is a great coach, he has done wonders for Arsenal and can really spot a talent, but i just don't know what he sees in Song. The kid looks like he can barely walk.

Nobody saw what Wenger saw in Henry, as by Lee Dixon's admission; "He couldn't hit a barn door when he arrived.".
