honestly what was wrong with playing Wes Brown? Lescott is just balls I noticed that when he was brought on in the Russia game, he loves Ball watching and has NO pace. Brown has had games for Man Utd as well with Neville out for so long.

mmmm...as a non-english person, I think he should go. I didnt before the game but the tactics and the selection choice went wrong. He had his thumb up his ass giving the goalkeeper a start....do you think that was funny or something? perhaps he would say "told ya" if they won 3-0 with Carson keeping a cleansheet. I also think he used this formation to use Lampard and Gerrard as people wanted to see them...attacking midfielders. unfortunatly it was rubbish, Gerrard was all over the shop so i dont know what the hell he was doing.

well there is talent...brilliant talent in England, Rooney, Lampard, Owen, Gerrard, Cole, Wright Phillips and so forth...other teams would kill for one of these players, so there's no problem there, except for the shitty defense...
And even though the Premier League is oozing with foreign players, they always managed to produce superb players. The problem is that the national team still plays the same football they already did 25 years ago...and guess what? football has evolved since then....so the question remaining is: Why can't England evolve?! or is it their egos? the ill-will not to run for each other and help one another?

4-4-2 it is England tried and tested formation and its what there best at.
im gutted their not in the tourney next summer,it would have been something to look forward too.but in the long run its probably for the best that their not.

Scotland, Northern Ireland and England came so close and it was a shame that Wales and ROI were drawn in the same group - seems to happen quite often a home nation is drawn along with another one.
anyways, This time next year we will be criticising the world cup campaign. Sunday is the draw and I hope its a good one.

I have my 2 week summer holidays booked for the start of the euro campaign and I better get the coverage over here for EVERY game, even if it is Poland vs Greece, I love watching football tournaments and I didnt have a better time than the World Cup 06 when me and my mate watched EVERY game (apart from the opening game due to travelling in an airplane) in Tenerife. It was superb watching 3 games a day.
so...being MONTHS away from the Euros, who do you think will win it this time round?
I am torn between Germany and Portugal. Port idnt have a mega great qualfier but they did the job and have some class acts in the squad.
Poland are a dark horse for me, I see them making the quarter finals.

mostly because foreigners make it exciting. some hints of home grown greatness but its the actual team names who people want to watch and make it the most watched league in the world. Arsenal Vs Man Utd 2 weeks ago attracted millions of viewers from like 100+ countries. and that was to just see 2 big name teams, not the players.

They don't, hence why they are known for always failing.
They have good players individually, not great team. Not "Great" players as it stands.
