just the same though, when hleb and fabregas were injured it effected them in a big way. if adebayor were to get injured right now i think it'd have a huge effect on them.

what happened to almunia? i didnt know lehman was back to the number 1.

He has the flu or something, so couldn't play.

I swear Blackburn Rovers haven't been out of their own half in any REAL way for about 20 minutes.

Still got some results though.

Man Utd have lost all five without Rooney- not even a draw. That's terrible. (Although not to give him too much credit, Cron was out for 3 of those.)

But if Adebayor gets hurt it would be Arsenal's two best strikers down, which would hurt any team no matter how deep. And with Hleb and Fabregas gone they didn't start going downhill. They pretty much were able to stabilize and hold on.

I've said for ages that Utd's squad is thin as hell, once you get past the first 16, or remove one or two key players, they're pretty weak.

Yeah, but it is. Really is.

Yet all you ever hear is that it's the best in Europe (which effectively means in the world). I mentioned a while ago that their attack is thinner than the plot of Cloverfield.

It's just one of those bandwagon things. Like the fact that Arsenal were finishing 8th this year, and Spurs 4th.

Gaaay.

I heard on the news that the Premier league is thinking about playing an extra game abroad?

How´s that going to happen then? who will decide who plays against who, and how will this effect the points situation. I mean it wouldn´t be fair if the top team played the 3rd and the 2nd team the last, off form team in the division, this one extra game could decide the division.

Not only that, but don´t English teams play enough games as it is.

In Germany when they have 2 or more games in a week they call it an "Englische woche" English week, because they think were daft.

I think everyone that matters is against it.

Hopefully, I mean playing friendly´s ok I can understand that, but points games is daft. Fans play an important role in backing their team, (except the highbury library of course🙂)

After hearing the annoying chaotic sounds coming from the African nations cup´s fans, I´m convinced this idea will be a flop.

Can´t see anyway it would be done.

theres no way in hell that its going to happen so i wouldnt be too worried. platini laughed at it, theres no way fifa are going to let the fa get away with it. it would set the precedent for any league to play anywhere in the world and fifa isnt going to let that happen.

isnt that what the nfl did when they plaed one game in wembley and are going to do so again this year? the players and coaches from those teams seemed to enjoy it and gave good feedback from it

Yea but that was a scheduled match, this would be an EXTRA match, making the league unbalanced.
Plus, there's more games in a season in football, they also tend to bulk together around January, can you imagen having to travel from london to newcastle then to Qatar than back to london in a week? plus training, matches and the inevitable publicity stunts.

Well the Australian and Asian FA have already said they wouldn´t let it happen in their area.

As for the NFL playing in London, didn´t the US fans complain, after all the majority wouldn´t have been able to watch their teams?

Min you the US is rather large and following a team is probably difficult anyway eh🙂

Wow Aberdeen and leading against Bayern Munich 2:1, I thought they´d get well stuffed. But its only half time🙂

2 - 2 now..

heres an idea. what if teh game they took abroad was a semifinal for teh fa cup? something with a lot to play for, yet they're played on neutral grounds anyway. you couldnt take the final there obviously but a semi could work.

how the hell did Spurs only beat Slavia Prague 2-1? at 2-0 they completely took their feet off the pedal, let them come back into the game, prior to which we looked like we could go on to beat them 5/6-0.

they clearly arent Champions League quality.

I reckon the final this year could be either Spurs v Bayern or At. Madrid v Bayern.
