The thing is, Arsenal are missing way more players than Man U, way more valuable players to their team.
Not dismissing the poor playing of Arsenal, but it's hardly a full team and one thing I always say is that it's all well and good, and successful, to play experimental players, but never defenders. You just don't do it.

Liverpool doing well then. That result is so satisfying that I will easily take a Man U win today. It'd be too much impossible good news.

Barnsley do it again, they kicked Liverpool out a few years ago.
When I heard one of their board on the radio giving an interview, he sounded confident, I wondered Hmm could be an upset here.
Well at least Arsenal are getting a hiding, 3:0 at half time🙂
And it could be more.
I actually don't care. It makes me quite happy to hear Man U sing "That's why we're Champions." while having lost at home to Man City, not having beaten Arsenal in the league and currently stand 5 points behind.
F.A. Cup would be nice, but Wenger knows what he's doing, and whilst I question his defensive/team choice, I really don't mind. I'd rather lose this game than AC Milan or a league match.
The only negative is that this will cause all the idiot fans to think their team is the best in the world again, when their squad has all the depth of a kiddie pool.

its all squad players playing for man u right now. the only starters are the back 4 and wayne rooney. i would care if i was an arsenal supporter, maybe if it was a close match i wouldnt care as much, but they're getting played off the pitch by our second team.
Because Arsenal played their starting 11, clearly.
(Didn't, did they?)
Arsenal are missing: Sagna, Clichy, Rosicky, Adebayor and Flamini in any REAL sense (Haven't been on long and aren't playing in a good system), Diaby etc.
Arsenal aren't playing well, but it's of no concern to me, hardly our best team and it's F.A. Cup against a team who haven't beaten us in the league, and are a whole win and two draws worth of a gap behind us.
That's all I'm concerned about. CL would be nice, but nothing really matters to me besides the league. If it didn't burn me to lose to Tottenham 5 - 1, losing to Man U isn't going to do anything. I trust Wenger enough to know what he's doing, and whilst I feel he should treat some trophies with a bit more relevance, it's the league that's the big one, so I can't really complain. He's won the F.A. Cup more recently than the league.

you were making the point that arsenal didnt have their best eleven out and i was just saying that man u didnt either.
those sound like excuses not reasons. we played better than arsenal did, therefore we won.
andersons looking pretty good, hes having more of an influence in every game i see him play in. did fabregas just have a bad game or is that hows hes been playing lately? that early season form seems to have tailed off quite a bit.

Yes, in a cup that doesn't rank high on the club's priorities, and against an Arsenal side that clearly were not playing like the Arsenal everybody knows.
Did they play well enough to win? No. Did Man U? Yes. If that's as far into is as you wish to go. I'm not making undue excuses, but I point out the fact that people always look to put any team above Arsenal because they don't want to look pie-faced at the fact that they're winning the league right now. When Arsenal play as bad as they did today, there's usually a valid excuse, and anyone who sees how well they play regularly can attest to that.

He does look quite mad, I didn't like him at first.
He's been playing well, but he's been altering his style a bit. I don't think any of Arsenal's players were in it, and I lose confidence in Eboue each time I see him play. Not because of his skill as a player, but because it seems like he gets way too petty. On one hand I like the fact that Arsenal dish out everything they've been getting from everyone, but on the other it costs the team when he plays if he does it too much.
Like Reyes and his rolling around on the floor.

Well you can make all the excuses you want. Man united showed how you have to play against Arsenal to stop their short passing game, relentless pressure, fast aggressive attacking when they have possession, and fast attacking when you have the ball.
AC Milan will have seen this, and I recon It´ll be more than 4:0 come next week.

im not much of an eboue fan either. hes never really convinced me hes good enough to play for arsenal. plus he always does something stupid like he did today, he doesnt always get caught and its usually not that bad but theres always something he does that bugs me.

*And also making sure Arsenal have a weakened team.
I love the way Man United beat a much weakened Arsenal team once this season and despite everything Arsenal have done, they're now susceptible to losing by massive margins.
This is coming from someone who supports Liverpool, though, can't expect any sense.
AC Milan are CL giants, but they're also doing shit in their league. Ronaldo is injured, Kaka is allegedly nursing an injury. It's hardly sensible to suggest that because Arsenal's much weakened side lost, they're not going to love in excess of four nil.
It just goes to show how much the media influence people. No matter the fact that Arsenal have the most wins and the least amount of losses (Plural isn't even needed) in the league, playing arguably the best football, they are always the ones being subjected to bias. Everyone wrote them off, said Liverpool were in the running and acted like Spurs were now superior. All of those have come untrue and many people are looking really stupid.

Well that's the kind of tournament that sums of parts really count isn't it?
All it takes is something to go wrong, or right, on THAT night and it's history for one team. It's not like the league. Hence why I don't really use it as a barometer of team quality, although it can be. I think AC Milan played well enough to win the tournament, I think Man U did when they won the treble, I don't think Liverpool did, for example.
I'd love Arsenal to win it, since it's the elusive trophy, better competition, but again, I'd rather our losses come where it doesn't affect our league chances.
