Crisis? Arsenal coming in 3rd at the end WOULD BE a disappointment to me. It isn't actually over, we're as far behind as Man Utd were, or have been, and we still have the least amount of losses. Not to mention the chance to take a point or three from Man Utd, as do Chelsea. In the event that Arsenal should come 3rd, which I don't believe they will, I would be satisfied at the fact that:
A) They've come in the top four...again. Despite claims that Spurs would smack them out of the top four and Arsenal would spiral into mediocrity.
B) Done so with an essentially brand new team.

so, did anybody predict arsenal would choke or is that like a shock or what? be lucky to get second now eh?it must suck to be an arsenal fan right now.
It must rule to be a Canadian Man Utd fan who conveniently showed up here after they became champions. Just saying.
We'll just see what happens after Man Utd play Chelsea and Arsenal.

Man Utd is generally the team all overseas people go for. Being the biggest brand and one of the most successful historically, it's who most people go for. I know about 10 Canadian Man Utd fans who don't actually know much about football if you press them. There are many times people have challenged your points of view and you've retracted it saying "I don't know what I was talking about.", or, "Maybe I've not seen enough games.".
The teams I support weren't currently winning titles when I started to support them, I wasn't even at the age to grasp what a glory hunter could be, which is what I believe you to be. I doubt you'd somehow be as supporting if they got relegated, where as everyone here probably would.
Even Deathblow came from the States and supports Spurs. You can't help who you like in terms of football being played, but it's been my opinion for a long time that you picked Man Utd due to their success. When Spurs beat Arsenal, Df02 and Krunk'd had every right to gloat really. They're long time supporters and they had waited nearly a decade for that victory. I find it quite cowardly that a Man Utd fan would gloat when he's seemingly a new fan.

i started watching man u 3 or 4 years ago when arsenal won the league and i liked them because they were fun to watch and i liked their players. if i was a glory hunter or whatever i would've picked arsenal or chelsea, man u didnt win anything while i watched them for like 3 years.
my other teams are the raptors and the maple leafs, i dont know if you know anything about basketball or hockey, but if you do then you know that both those teams are average at best.
i can see why you would think i like them because of their success, but they've only won a carling cup and a league title in the time that ive even been watching soccer.
what am i even gloating about? you busted out the pompous ass "obviously you spoke too soon" so i joked around a little bit.

A) Fair enough.
B) I am aware of those teams' reps.
C) Where did I say "Obviously you spoke to soon."? Because I swear I said "Obviously 65th minute against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge is too soon.", as in, it's too soon to say anybody have threatened their streak, with a one nil lead. Anybody.
No team on Earth would go there with a one goal lead in the 65th minute and feel safe.
As for gloating, we all like to gloat, but to act like Arsenal were always going to choke and then suggest they'll be LUCKY to get 2nd (One point behind Chelsea by the way) is stupid.

when somone repeats what you say and puts obviously in the front of it, that to me is pompous. maybe i took it the wrong way.
if you say yeah, that was probably too soon to say that okay, but the word obviously implies pompousness to me.
anyways im glad they won because my sister and her husband were at that game and they're big chelsea fans. it'd be shitty to pay go to a game and see your record get broken.
come on, it was a joke. i never thught they were going to choke and i still dont think they did. a lot of things just happened that went against them and now thats beginning to effect their form. it happened to man u earlier in the season when they couldnt score. they were playing really well but everything was going against them and then they started playing like shit. thankfully they got results and eventually got out of it.
I don't think Arsenal are out of it by any means, and it makes the Chelsea game that much worse because the replay analysis shows it as yet another offside. The first goal, anyway.
Anyway, it just surprised me because you USUALLY aren't one to gloat disgustingly. I just happen to live in a nation where, for the past year almost, you've not been "allowed" to accept Arsenal as title threats. It's as if Man Utd have paid for the publicity.
Also, as Andy Gray pointed out: Mascherano got sent off for asking what was wrong and why he got booked, a Man Utd player was giving the ref verbal abuse and got nothing.

i only gloated because the obviously thing pissed me off. i live in a nation where they barely pay any attention to soccer. when people talk about it on pregame all they talk about is how well arsenal are playing and that its good an entertaining team is at the top of the table.
i dont think any man u players verbally abused the ref, i dont know what andy grays talking about. he would have got a yellow card if he didnt have one already, why not give him one after he already has one?
he ran 60 yards across the pitch to complain about the foul and it was at least the second or third time he did it. it had nothing to do with him, why open your mouth? maybe its a bit harsh but they've got to put their foot down somewhere.
Don't know anything about football, but feel like putting my two cents in, there are 7 games left, and the top three are seperated by less than 6 points, and man.utd still have to face arsenal and chelsea, while arsenal and chelsea have failry easy teams to face in the next 7 games so it doesnt look like the title race is over by a long shot.

Well, 4 pts from 15 available and 1 win in 8 games is pretty substandard for Arsenal.
You keep going back to the Spurs top 4 thing, truth is they did look poised to make a surge for it, but the media pushed it like it was destiny... if you're looking to use that against someone, ring up the sun.
Brand new? I wouldn't go that far.
The crisis remark was a joke, but it's not looking rosey at le emirates lately.

He said he specifically saw a Man Utd player giving the ref a hard time, and he is a Man Utd fan a lot of the time.
Yeah, it's harsh, but like Gray said; if you're gonna do it, do it to everyone who does it.

Nobody sensible thought they would make a surge for it; indeed I actually predicted 10th due to Spurs' arrogance in ignoring the advancements of the other teams around them (also the fact they've got about 4 players).
Aside from the fans who got swept up in the media storm, I don't know many Spurs fans who genuinely beleived 4th was gonna happen.
It was possible, but unlikely... Then Jol decided there werent enough fat players in the premiership and it became even more unlikely.
Oh, dear...Arsenal really are shit at the moment! Can't even draw against Chelsea, let alone beat them! Whinger should have called up Ramos for some tips on what to do. Tip #1 would probably have been: Don't pick whiney, petulant players like Eboue...and Adebayor...and Gallas...and Fabregas...and Van Persie...and, and, and, and and! I always thought they would crumble at the end, but I never thought they would choke this bad. I guess the seeds were sown way back when Spurs crushed them in the cup.
Oh, well...maybe you can win a trophy next season. Just hope that you don't get drawn against Spurs in any of the cups; we all know what happened that last time that came to pass, don't we?
(Spurs thrashed Arsenal 5-1, and then went on to win the damn thing by beating the team that just beat you in the final!)
