The result would be that I'd be right, and you'd be wrong.
incorrect, because "same" would give the impression the the circumstances were exactly the same. This isn´t the case so they are actually "similar". Which makes you wrong again.

How many of us have ever played football, just with friends? You KNOW when it's a foul, you KNOW when it's offside. Why? Cos there's nothing to lose/gain. In high pressure situations, what's at stake (For anybody) counts.
There are nowhere near as many hold ups in lower league games.

Yes but when you play football with your mates there´s no cheating diving gits.
Ive played football at a club, nothing high up, but even here there were cheats, brutal fouls and people need to get banned for violent behavior.
There´s also a bit of money involved. 🙂

If that's meant to imply that lower league has lower stakes I wouldn't necessarily agree.
Of course the monetary value decreases... But i'm sure the players at Torquay care just as much about success as those at Arsenal.

Phat J, when I play tennis with me mates I don't employ an umpire, ball boys, towel girls, and line judges to officiate. We also don't have computer-generated representations of close line calls.
Probably go something like that in football, too.

Sing for me: "Hello, Nonsense, my old friend..."
A fixed-match implies a match that has been altered. All your 'similar' donuts were made from the same mixture.

yeah but does fifa govern your tennis matches all over the world? if they change a rule that effects the game as much as this rule would, it would have to change everywhere.
Nope. (I don't play tennis matches all over the world, and I'm pretty sure FIFA wouldn't be too interested in a game of tennis).
Other bit: No, it wouldn't.
Look at that over there!
Predictions for this weekend's games?
Chelsea to win 3-1 (Lampard 2, Kalou 1 - Fabregas for Assholes)
Man Utd to win 1-0 (Tevez)
Spurs to win 3 - 1 (Berbatov 1, Keane 2 - Muntari for the Posh)

They use video evidence to punish past incidents. They can't do that all over. It wouldn't be a rule, just an advantage where available.
The Dog and Duck United don't miss out on £10 million as a result of somebody's professional incompetence.
Arsenal have beat Chelsea already this season, but it's at Stamford Bridge where they haven't lost for ages.
Either their record has to go (And we know about Arsenal beating streaks on certain grounds) or we draw. A loss at this point would be bad, but I don't necessarily think that'll happen. Jamie Redknapp, as mug as he is, made a good point. At Stamford Bridge Chelsea seem to play with the record in mind, that could make it easier for Arsenal, especially if they're not playing with a win as the main aim, but are more concerned about preserving records.
It all depends. ManYoo and Liverpool have one player that are often critiqued as not holding up against big teams. Ronaldo and Torres, so who knows? If Torres can keep it up, I can see them giving ManYoo a run. I am inclined to say I THINK Liverpool might just take a point or three.

i didnt know they said that about torres, so far hes played well in all the big games ive seen him play in.
i think man u'll beat liverpool. they dont try to win games against big teams, they try not to lose them. i dont know about chelsea though, if both teams play well i think arsenal will win, but if its stuffy and has no fluidity i could see chelsea holding on for a draw.
"As long as you win, no one says anything about your team selection."
Rafa Benitez is a genius.
Spurs...What a team! Quality on the bench, and quality on the pitch! All we need to cement a top 4 position next season are a few choice additions to the team: Manuel Neuer in goal, Jeremy Toulalan in the defensive midfield position, Diego Capel on the left wing, and Fred as a 3rd striker. Perfection is only a few steps away...
Well, if we acquired those laddies, our first team would look like this:
--------------------------Neuer---------------------
Hutton-------Woodgate-------King-----------Bale
-----------------------Toulalan--------------------
Lennon----------------Jenas-----------Capel
-------------Berbatov-------Keane--------------
Top 4, 4 sure!
