It was a good game, if people are willing to pay the money, why not make it? Plus Arsenal ARE a better team than Tottenham atm, which is why when we win we are happy and when we snatch a dramatic draw we are proud... I really don't see what you're trying to achieve here.anyway moving on:
"Liverpool"
- verb:
To gain success through luck rather than skill.
To scrape a win in the final minutes regardless of poor performance.
Examples:
"Dirk Kuyt just Liverpool'd Man City with his shin!"
"Steven Gerrard has the chance to Liverpool Portsmouth now with a penalty kick"
"Tottenham Hotspur have just Liverpool'd Liverpool!!"
I have absolutely nothing against Spurs fans like yourself being happy with that result, because you aren't really a tw*t, but I'll explain my frustration so you actually understand, because it honestly isn't just me being bitter. In fact, I'm sure you'll appreciate what I'm talking about.
Spurs fans have been a silent as the grave, but as soon as they snatch a point from Arsenal (Who are the better team in general), who brought the goals upon themselves more than anything, they come out of all corners to gloat at a team fourth in the league, while they still remain in the drop zone.
That's what I mean, people will pay money to sit at home and watch Spurs draw 4-4 with Arsenal. Spurs didn't play great, it was more Arsenal playing brilliantly and then making a has of two attacks. That, to me, is extremely sad.
It's embarassing for me, not because Arsenal didn't win, but for Spurs. Fans are entitled to be happy, but when you lose sight of how it came about and what it implies to literally put a DVD out every time you get a win over Arsenal, it's sad.
5-1, hadn't beat us in what...nine years? DVD comes out. 4-4, DVD. It's just a bit pathetic to me. I'm bitter because we should have won, not because it's Spurs. If it were Wolves I'd feel the same. It's not just because this 4-4 was a good game, it's because it was Arsenal. Is there a Chelsea DVD (I honestly don't know)?
It's the fact that Arsenal and Spurs now have a rivalry that is location only. The two sides could honestly not be any further apart in honours and ability, and acclaim. Yet the kind of fan who supports this DVD, rather than taking a shock good result with class, is the kind of fan I dislike. The kind of fan who is calling for Bentley to be nominated for goal of the decade, when it was essentially a hit-and-hope (That the keeper's off his line).
If Arsenal put out DVDs when they beat Spurs I'd be embarassed too.
That said, I'm glad they Liverpool'd Liverpool. Since that's how they've been getting their wins, it's fitting they got their first loss that way.
