i think it should be left at that now, just ban the supporters.the person i really feel sorry for is shaun wright phillips, he's a really good player who'll hardly ever start, he needs all the games he can get.
The racist abuse the English black players got was horrendous. Even on my bog standard mono-sounding television the chants were very audible.
But I don't think England should have rose to the bait. Rooney should've been told to keep a cool head and not go off in a TERMINATOR TANGENT...a walk-off -as was suggested in the press- at half time would have been far more dignified and would have made THE POINT far more better...
There's no place for racism anywhere...let alone the football field. I work with guys from such places as UZBEKISTAN, BELARUS, HOLLAND, UKRAINE, SCOTLAND, THE CZECH REP, SOUTH AFRICA, IRELAND [of course! 😉 ] and er, ENGLAND. 😱
There's never a question of *where are you from* where I work!!! Everybody's a w*nker!!!

Don't get ya there on your FIRST POINT mate!!! 😱
Regarding ROONEY...yeah, he done a GAZZA, went way OTT but hey, he's a talented KID that's been hounded by THE ENGLISH GUTTER PRESS just because was looking looking for a, er, MOTHER FIGURE! 😗
He'll learn...or if he doesn't then it's THE SUBS! 👇

i agree with you on the rooney thing, yeah.i ask foreign co-workers just because i'm actually curious and like to learn about foreign cultures.
If you want to learn about FOREIGN CULTURES go buy a TRAVEL BOOK!!! 😱
Seriously though, THAT game on Wednesday was something else!!! 😘 🤨

I doubt he's *shitting himself*! 🙄 It was only a FRIENDLY, for Chistsakes!!! But not very FRIENDLY, I'd admit! 🥷
Cue *JUNGLE SOUNDS*... 👇

yeah, but england were so outclassed, and spain are so inconsistent usually. i know it was a friendly, but still...
I wouldn't say Spain were so hot under the collar either...besides the penalty -which should never have been given- they didn't exactly ignite. There again, the second half was played at such a low key...
i think england have been going bad since euro 2004. poor against france, ok against switzerland and croatia, and against portugal they were poor but still blamed the referee. the group so far hasnt been great either, theyve had it relatively easy.
true about eriksson, but they seriousy need to drop players who havent been pulling their weight. and change the captain...
Always funny when England lose.
They are so built up in the press and on TV it makes it all the more hilarious when they get beaten by 2 last minute goals, or in a penalty shoot-out, or by a 40 yard lob, etc.
Their constant rubbishness almost makes up for the BBC, sorry EBC, from continually showing England on Scottish TV.

Leicester City football club and Leicester Tigers rugby club have agreed in principle to create a joint company to buy the Walkers Stadium.
The two clubs today unveiled exciting plans to turn the Foxes' home 'into a sports super stadium for football and rugby'.
A joint statement read: 'The new company would be owned on a 50:50 basis by Leicester City and Leicester Tigers. Both clubs believe this would be a visionary and ground-breaking venture, unique in British sport.
'The stadium would also be used to host international football and rugby matches, other sporting fixtures, concerts and special events.
'Discussions are taking place with the governing bodies for football and rugby, and between Leicester Tigers and the city council to agree a satisfactory financial settlement for the surrender of Tigers' lease on the Welford Road site and between Leicester City and the American institution who owns the stadium.'
'Leicester and Leicestershire has a wonderful sporting heritage and both Leicester City and Leicester Tigers have a great history and tradition,' he said.
'Joining together with Leicester Tigers in this joint venture will enable us both to further develop, strengthen and cement the stadium as a centre of sporting excellence which caters for our footballing and rugby supporters as well as accelerating plans to become a major entertainment venue serving all of the people of Leicestershire and the surrounding regions.'
