Well, I think that Anakin still hadn't fully become Darth Vader, he was still Ani...at least on the inside. That is why he yelled "NOOOOO" or whatever. He was still in love with Padme' and he couldn't let go of her completely. It was very....thoughtful (to say the least) of him to at least wonder about his "angels" well-being. If I were in his shoes...which I can't bear the thought of doing, considering that 30 pound suit, I would have done the same as he did.
I think Anakin secretly harboured a hatred and feeling of betrayal against Sidious ever since that "Nooooo" moment, but he could never fight back because he knows he doesn't stand a chance - sidious would crush him easily.
So, he becomes a reluctant servant of Sidious. His decisions are influenced by the "aura" of the dark-side - a mere zombie executing the will of Sidious.

I disagree about the scream... This movie shows us Anakin's turn to the dark side being one of weakness and fear. Look at the scene after Mace dies.... It's the best example. You can see there that Anakin essentially lets his weak emotions and mind and his fear be manipulated into helping Sidious. After Mace dies, he realizes he has done wrong and helped evil. He says "what have I done?" Looking at his face tells it all. He could very easily just turn and attack Sidious, but he doesn't because he is too weak to do anything other than submit. When he tells Sidious he pledges himself to him, it isn't a pledge based on his actual belief in evil or anything. It's based on, well I've gone this far I have to keep going. He's too weak to stop. It's the same kind of weakness and immaturity that gets a lot of teenagers into trouble when they realize they are doing something wrong, but just feel so trapped because they have gone this far and they feel like it's too late.
So don't picture Darth Vader in all his fury yelling "Nooooo," picture a confused, araid, trapped teenager who's gotten himself in too deep and doesn't know what to do.
That works, but the scene looks like a bad Frankenstein rip-off.
the scene is fine on paper (dialogue, motivation yada yada)...but the execution is so bad, in a weird way, that i was actually shocked when i saw it...then i laughed my ass off...i hope it was meant to be funny...when i read that he tore the room apart i was expecting it to be like esb, when vader blows the window out behind luke...in the film i think i saw a blender turn on or something, and then there was this scene from a really bad school play...but it don't bother me much, i prefer when sw is funny unintentionally than when it tries to be funny (*cough* jar jar)...i still think it's the second best film (and i am an ot guy who never thought he would be saying that)...
and i do admit that i didn't read this whole thread, only the first page, but do you blame me?...
Bellowing a very regretful and mournful "NO!" can never sound smooth or cool, no matter who says it. I'm sure Lucas and his staffers went back and forth over the table alot as to what Vader would say upon hearing the bad news, and "NO!" would be the most likely instantaneous reaction from anybody hearing something like that. Seriously, after hearing that your responsible for the death of your spouce no body is gonna react with a long dramatic, Shakespearean monologue---yer gonna say something in remorse and it aint gonna sound cool no matter who u are.
I thought it was realy funny... 😆 But his pose more than the noooooooo.
Like with the arms... hysterical But it's true it's not vader yet, just anakin, a lost confused teenager saddened and shocked about the fate of his beloved (that he did all this for to save, and she goes and dies on him anyway). So u get what they were trying to do, just it didn't turn out that great...
