[B]The significance in why Obiwan uses a blaster to destroy Gen. Greivous instead of a lightsaber is a symbolic gesture identifying a change from using an elegant jedi lightsaber(prequels) instead of a clumsy blasters(ep IV). When obiwan kills Greivous with blaster instead of a saber, it identifies a turning point in the series. A point where having a blaster at your side was more secure. When Obi destroys greivous, he throws blaster to oneside and says " uncivilized".

Yes thanks for pointing that one out Eddy. I didn't like Obi's remark but I do like your observation. Light sabers are out (for a while at least) blasters are the in thing now.

dude is eddie joking around?
did anyone read what he said about finaly people agree with me muhhaaahhaah and if you don't you need asprin and to get laid
wtf
(rasies eyebrow)

Partially to show how creative Obi-Wan is.

No, Eddy's not joking. He flips out.

I agree with NoFate here. It does indeed show that Obi-Wan is one crafty individual.

I apologize if anyone misunderstood about the "laid" deal. i was commenting that remark for "Billy the Goat" who had given me positive feedback, but then sent me some cussing reply. I am so sorry to you all, it reads like it was to all of you, but It was NOT. It was for Billythegoat. Read the quote above it, it states billies reply. I apologize to all participants in this forum , beacause I mean no malice or insults to you all. I just l;ike to converse.

No...it was for me because you quoted me and replied directly to the quote

I don't really care...but don't weasel out like it meant for someone else. It was pretty clear to all of us who it was aimed at.

But...apology accepted Captain Needa.

I think you do too.

By the way; great thoughts on Obi and the blaster thing.

Thanks for your positive feedback! Thanks again

I think when a New thread is posted and in generates good replies 'Hits". I tend to notice that immidiately there are individuals who come into that thread to post negative comments and bad mouth the Post in order to weaken it and have nagative comments listed throughtout it. These negative comment nagate the readers attension and therefore a REALLY GOOD TOPIC gets lets hit than it should. HMMM,....just a revalation!

Well the significance is that Blasters are Babarous and it made a good joke for Obi-Wan

It shows that he wasnt really fighting a jedi and how barberic grevious is that he kills him with his own barberic wepon....if it was a jedi it would be different

I think the use of the blaster does reflect a point in the movie. Desperation. Everyone was so intent on killing the seperatists they did not detect the underlying plot. Perhaps its this sort of attitude "do whatever it takes" that lead anakin to becoming vader. Rember the film's reference to absolutes? Its either blaster or saber. But wheres the third option?

huh....i never saw it that way thx
