You mean nails, and fingers dont bend?

Holy shit!!!

I wouldnt expect that.

😆 Very true, just read Prey.

Aliens > Predators.

If the former are in ridiculously high proportions to the latter.

5:1, a good predator has no problem.

Hell, even 15:1, a skilled Yautja will come out on top every time - even without his plasmacaster.

Bump it up even further, though, and even the best will begin to get overwhelmed.

Last time, even though it was set on Earth, it was still hardly 'really our world.'

It was in bum****ed egypt, under tons of ice, in an ancient temple, where no one's been for centuries....

This time, it's like in Oklahoma or some such.

yeah, thats true... avp could have easily been set on an alien planet with a couple of alterations, avp2 looks like it could be happening in the next town over...

Comics and novels are not canon.

As to who is better : aliens or predators?
Each of them are better in certein aspects.

Aliens are superior in sheer physical strength as they can puncture skulls easily and tear a thick steel door open.

For speed its debatable, notice how fast the predator could reach the subway train from the graveyard in predator 2? While the alien in a3 was pretty fast, it is very hard to tell who is really faster.

Its safe to assume that the aliens are more agile seeing that they can climb walls and run along them, it also takes immense strength for a 8 foot creature to run along the walls like that.

Now when it comes to tactics, fighting skills and intelligence, the predator is far more superior than the alians

About the movie there are a few things i may not like.
Those are
1) will there be any back story? Alien ressurection severely lacked any reference to the first 3 films while AVP fails to connect to the previous predator films, I'm hoping this film will at the least have some backstory on either the predator franchise or AVP

2) Will they signify the merger between weyland industries and weyland yutani to further connect to the alien franchise

As for the gore, it will be included in these movies and im glad to know the aliens hissing will be the same as the ones depicted in james camerons aliens while the ridged headed alien drone returns.

There is slight improvement on the alien design, though its head is shorter than the original alien depicted in ridley scotts "alien", the biomechanical look of the aliens have returned which is one of the factors which made this creature so terrifying in the first alien film.

And for the 3rd time we get to see an alien hybrid, the predalien which is sort of the very main antoganist of the film.

Im sure this film will be much better than the first, i want the horror feeling in this movie that the first alien film get, i want to see the alien actually being menacing and intimidating because for AVP and AR, the aliens failed to bring back that fear we experienced in the first 3 alien films

if they are going to continue ahead with the alien franchise Fox would be wise to pull a warner brothers with batman begins and start over.
but right after aliens, cause #3 and resurection were crap, the only thing redemming qualities were seeing the alien running like a dog in 3 and seeing just how far the company would go in resurection to get it.
after that yeeeech. ma ma.

Yeah, after he shot the Predator 5 times, close-range, with 55. caliber shot gun and cut it's hand off. There goes your point.

Preds aren't overrated at all. In every case, they either underestimated humans (P1 Pred) or were grievously wounded by them(P1 Pred and P2 Pred).

BTW Hicks > Hudson

Back to the matter at hand. This movie is said to focus on one elite predator, some sort of cleaner. Sounds cool and all, and the trailer did show alot of stuff that they should have put in AvP1, but chickened out on. Still... with one single pred in the lead I'm afraid there isn't going to be much tension or uncertainty around the fights, as the predator will stay alive until at least the very end.
It's looking good, but I don't want to see the aliens put down as just threads to the humans, and I definitely want to see a pred hit the dust hard in r-rated glory by the nastiness of an alien.
Hope they balance this properly.

aliens are just threats to humans though... one predator with his gear is far superior to a single alien... it takes a fair few aliens to take down one pred...
