they were arrested with no means of contacting anyone, be it family or a lawyer. they were arrested simply for being there and practicing their constitutional right.
the whole point i make is that there IS a filter in the media and it certainly is not 'liberal bias' or this would have been front page for a long time.
most americans DO care, many americans protest, many are fully against this war, but our voices and actions are either distorted our muffled. people assume we dont give a shit because of lack of coverage in the media, and then turn around and accuse americans of being overly dependant on the media and only believing what they hear and more to the point DONT hear. so it looks like we are ALL dependant on the media, doesnt it?
thats why when i see people from other countries look down on americans and generalise and act like prejudice shits, it annoys the hell out of me. "you americans dont think for yourselves, you only borrow opinions from the media!!! i know because i read it in an article!!!" see what i mean?
