You can't believe everything you see on TV. I personally don't know anyone who still worries about terrorism. People worry more about local crime than they do about terrorism. At least around here.
The only time I ever see people get paranoid about terrorism is when major events are about to take place. Like the Super Bowl, Olympics, etc.
Yeah, from what I understand if someone attacks you in a life threatening manner, you can open fire on them. Though I saw this on the Daily Show, so I'm not sure how much they exaggerated.
It doesn't surprise me that much. It's pretty much just a step up from our previous law which said that if anyone invades your house uninvited you have the right to shoot them if they are a threat to your life.
The gun laws in this state have always been way too trigger happy.

Don't like it then the the F*ck out. yes we have problems in our country but there are far worse places. I was born in germany I wouldn't mind moving back but I'm still proud to say I'm american. I also wouldn't mind living in Canada. I just hate that we care more about football (NFL) then hockey. CUZ HOCKEY OWNS YOU!!!!1!!!
Anyway I do accept that other nations hate us but no nation can be right 100% of the time.

I think its a matter of media...the U.S. gets WAAAAYY more media coverage then almost any other nation because "we are at war with TERRORISM(ooooooooohhhh)" and the fact that our president is a jackass. I think the reason we don't know as much about the world as the world does us is because:
1: canada is a good nation because I don't think that there is too much negative stuff that goes on there.
2: In europe you guys are used to having a lot of shit going down around you so it gets better media coverage because the nations over there are so close together...look at us we have one nation above and one below.
3. Yes the average american cares more about their stupid Starbucks drink then they do the rest of the world, which is just retarded. That doesn't mean that we are a dumb nation just less informed about the world. In school we only spent 1 year studying world history, 1 year north american, and the rest was local and U.S. history (local being texas because thats where I'm at). So it is also a problem of schooling.
Anyway thats just what I think.
