theres two types of emo kids: kids that DO think the world is depressing and they write sad poetry, and cut themselves, and theres the kids that listen to punk/emo/hardcore bands that are classified as "emo" but some bands lyrics arent really emo-ish. emo is becoming a "fashion" with the old skool black geeky glasses and tight vintage bands shirts and faux-hawks.....yeah..

Actually Emo kids dress the most queer. Guys in pink shirts? Guys that wear shirts with hearts on them? Guys that wear tighter jeans than most shitkickers I've seen lately? (And I live in TX, there's a surplus of kickers here...) and my personal fave, guys that get their hair cut to have the same side swept bangs popularized by such women as: Lindsay Lohan, Hilary Duff, and Nicole Richie.
Most fashionable my ass, these kids are just LOOKING for the right time to jump from the closet into Davey Havok's lap.
And your whole wearing black thing doesn't quite hold water, seeing as there are the few confused Emo/Goth kids clad completely in black with dyed black hair (and the aforementioned queer haircut), that wear black eyeliner/nail polish.
