American comedy breaks boundaries and goes where comeyd isn' tnot suppose to..well the great one do anyways...Ricahard Prior, Lenny Bruce, Rodney Dangerfield, all crossed the line of where they weren't suppose go while pointing out the problems of society while at the same time making people laugh, and like Pr already mentioned there's the comic genius of Family Guy, Simpsons, and South Park (sorry, not a big fan of Frasier so i subsituted that one)

I don't think so. We have Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, Andrew Dice Clay, Steve Martin, and Cedric the Entertainer just to name a few. And we have the legends like Sam Kinison, Rodney Dangerfield, and Andy Kaufman.

Now, if you want to talk about taste in comedy let's say for example some people find Jerry Seinfeld funny. Some people prefer Adam Sandler and find him funny. I personally find Jerry to be a better comedian than Sandler, but then again that's my taste others will disagree.
