there are some really good american comics...

richard pryor, mitch hedberg, jon stewart... and so on and so forth. the shotty ones make the rest of them look bad

Pryor and Dangerfield have always been my favorites.

Chris Tucker and Jack Black are pretty funny.uhoh3

I think thats taking it too far, british comedy and north american comedy are different.

Saturday night live and SCTV (when it was on) are awsome....

chris farley, bill murry, chevy chase, mike myers, adam sandler, ugene levy, martian short, jim carrey, chris rock, dave chappel, john candy....should I go on....

to say that north american comedy is bad is just false...

Now Lewis Black, that man is fricken gold! George Carlin used to be gold, but he's lost it as of late.

Err....Robin Williams, Chris Rock, Eddie Murphy, Dave Chappelle......they are great
Other shows like Mad TV or Saturday Night Live....
Sitcoms are decent too to some extend and some
Cartoons are the best Family Guy, South Park, Simpsons, Futurama, American Dad.....
American Comedy is great. Maybe not the best but great anyways.

I think that a lot of American comedy is alright, I think the British comedy is better though... speaking as a Brit
