USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE III (JEDI)- Revelations

Indeed there are.

The calculation would then work as follows:

You start on 13, Varm on 12.

Three frames to move takes you to 10. Varm and mooks fire; dodging both takes you to 8. Varm is then on 9, he's ahead and fires again, dodging him takes you to 7, and you can still act ahead of the Mooks on 7 because of player privilege but you will have to dodge them again immediately after...

... and so on. It's some of these frame counting problems which(other than tempting me to get rid of frames, which is what I am doing with a system I am testing elsewhere) often cause the Dark Siders to get into a losing streak, so I was wondering if you wanted to make any alterations to the process.

(Well, that's the way I figured it would work out, so I had originally chosen to ignore the mooks so that Varm wouldn't get ahead of me. For better or worse, I'll ignore the mooks this sequence, but I will Active Dodge against Varm's shots. So go ahead and give me the flurry on Varm, and I'll probably snap some attacks afterward to stay apace with Varm. Mooks are bad shots, so hopefully I won't take too much damage before I take Varm down.)

(Gallagher, do what you can to take out groups of Mooks at a time, and have Zaland take shots at the mooks in my area.)

Gallagher- gosh, that was close to being a miss! Lucky you have CofC. BTW, I shall count in in 4 of your mook kills as not kills, with Level 1 StoS.

Zaland snaps a couple of attacks at the nearby Mooks also, using CofC to get very likely hits. Two kills.

Andro, you are actually interposed on your way over by a Mook! You have to snap an attack to kill him, CofC making that a virtual certainty, but that adds a frame to your move over (which is impressive stuff from you, if you think about it).

Varm rolls +2 on his first attack... a 16 is a hit! Six damage to you, Andro.

Kathya actually takes a shot at Gallagher, which I shall assume he dodges, but she rolls +1, making it still a hit; three damage to him.

The mook fire gets split between you all. Nine on Gallagher and Zaland, eight on Andro.

A big hit on Gallagher gets reduced to five.

Zaland takes a hit for five also.

Andro takes a hit as well, I am afraid, for four.

And then a +4 from Varm is another hit! Bad tactics, guys. You should never leave that many Mooks standing; Andro's frames have been wasted when they could have drastically reduced the threat to you.

Zaland takes a shot at Kathya, rolling -1 for a miss; she fires back at him, missing also.

This leaves the Mooks clear to fire again. Another hit on Gallagjer, two hits on Zaland, but Andro lucks out.

Andro finally gets his flurry in, but impaired, a single dodge from Varm causes a complete miss. He then fires back once more, but this time is dodged.

(Argh! Stupid mooks. Alright, I'll finish the sequence by Defending against Mooks, Active Dodging Varm, and snapping an attack on him.)

Andro wades through the fray, making his way to Varm. Unfortunately, with everything going on, Andro only hits air when he swings. Wildly blocking another volley of blaster fire, and a shot from the Father, Andro hurriedly whips his blade around at him.

I do want to point out that that is the exact opposite of my advice.

(Alright, I'll Defend against the Synod members, then Spin on them. If I can borrow a frame to Dodge Varm as well, I will.)

Sure can. Ok, let's await Gallagher's plan!

(Cool. In the interest of time, could I put in my first actions of the next Sequence? Unless it contradicts whatever Gallagher plans, I'd like to Spin on four mooks, then Defend against them and Dodge Varm. If not, I'll post after work.)

That's fine!

Ahh, sorry, I should have told you to go for the mooks and not Varm. *smacks forehead*

Gallagher will reduce 5 of that damage with Evade, then arcs his blade around to disarm another Synod member with a standard attack.

Force Dodge against Kathya, Defend against mooks.

Jelena lowers her guard after Roan has forced it out of place, and calmly awaits her death blow, hoping it would be fast and painless...

But it never comes.

She opens her eyes, having clenched them closed.

"Roan?"

She uses Scan on him, seeing that he seems to have been freed of whatever it was that had a hold on him, be it the Dark Side or someone who uses it.

She looks about the room. "Who are you?" she asks aloud, not directed at Volun or Roan, before moving to Roan's side.

Don't think of it like a possession, Jelena. Roan's mind- as with all of you- was simply exposed to more of the Dark Side than is healthy.

The Force, of course, can have a strong effect on minds... but as far as you know, only the weak minded.

But how? Roan and Jelena, as far as I'm concerned, are some of the Knights who are least likely to turn to the Dark Side. I find it very peculiar. There must be something here in the Sanctuary that does this to us. Earlier, Jelena wanted to just slit Volun's throat and end it all while she was here.

Jelena will move to Volun.

'How' is a damn good question.

But as I say, you must move away from the idea of possession. And the effect has been going on for days- you were caught in it the mone toyu arrived here.

It's the very reason this has all happened.

Volun is still trying to kill you. Roan, by instinct, elbows him in the face, and he is at last silent, knocked unconscious.

Jelena nods in approval of Volun's silence.

What was the light coming from that Volun was illuminated by?

Just control panels.

Hmm.

Is there a way that we can make an announcement to the men fighting for Volun that Volun has been captured and that they should surrender?

If not, Jelena wishes to survey the damages to done to the Sanctuary already.

They wouldn't listern even if you could, you know that!

I need to make this point clear, everyone is affected.

It's considerable (the damage).

There has to be someone or something here that is doing this. More likely something, seeing as Roan and myself were affected by this.

Jelena will open her Senses to the Sanctuary.

(Ah, it's alright. I should have known better. Nearly the same thing happened to me on Droben. It's like I never learn. I guess I'd have made a good Dark Sider. 😛

We've got to really spread our damage out better though. I'll clear my third of Mooks before I go for Varm. Hopefully, you and Zaland will have your area clear by then. After that, head for Kathya's third, but if there's time, both of you try to get a quick hit in on Varm. Then, hit or miss, cintinue on to take care of Kathya and the last synod mebers. I'll help you finish her after I get rid of Varm. What do you think? That's the basic idea anyway, we'll have to see how it goes.)
