The dart is far too firmly embedded into the wall to be removed in anything approaching a timely fashion.
Roan- it's near impossible to try and navigate this place at speed! It's all twists and turns and no sense... you don't have a chance.
The two of you dash away from the centre as fast as you can. The energy field continues to expand , torching every book it touches. Now it reaches the tablets, and when it touches them, they shatter into a million tiny pieces on the merest contact.
And so it continues to expand, with its hum now turning into a great roar, this cracklic blue spehere ever growing, now looking like a vast dome, slowly purging thousands and thousands of years of knowledge.
The fire from the books destroys a section of shelf further back, and the entire section slumps forwards. Roan, speeding ahead of Jelena, is at the far side of the shelf, trying to get his bearings, when the shelf half-collapses. For a moment, he thinks it is going to fall on him and he stumbles somewhat, but it does not; instead, one of the tablets falls lose and lands right by his hands during his half stumble. It catches his attention.
Eeek!
I wasn't trying to catch you out there, Roan, I promise... this was the scenario from the moment the episode started and you got your vision.
Kneeling down to look at the tablet, you are distracted when your assilant opens fire on you. Even as you whirl around and raise your lightsabre, that counts as an auotmatic hit; twinned guns doing you 12 damage that you cannot Evade, leaving you double impaired.
The volley of fire is tremendous, Roan, and you are hit! You stagger back.
Then instincively forewarned from your vision, perhaps, you JUST manage to whirl out of the way.
Down the end of this 'book corridor' stands your assailant.

I highly recommend you listen to the first few seconds of that at least, to understand the effect
First of all, it's a woman.
She is tall, and very pale, with strange tatoos over her exposed skin- which is arms and legs, the rest contained within a sleek outfit. She carries in her hands two odd looking blaster pistols, which she is twirling in an amused manner as she looks at you.
Slung over her shoulder is a bag- which contains something you cannot quite see... taken from the Vault.
The pause after the intro to the music here is prolonged as people look at each other.
