"No!" Jelena shouts, navigating a way down for herself as fast as she can. "Sunda, no!"

You race down, Roan slowed by an impairing leg wound from the darts.

A dozen Charnellian troops open fire on her, but even with their standard skills of 8, they cannot get close to her.

Sunda moves in close whilst you are still some way away. He makes a decent feint wity his left sabre for a fast blow with the other, but she foresees it and twists away, just as she did before with Roan's attack.

He follows up with two quick blows, but she backs away from those as well, waiting her moment.

With perfect timing, she suddenly steps forwards as he makes his next blows, and with a swift motion grabs both of his arms.

Her legs blur as she kicks Sunda's legs from under him; his arms grappled, he drops to the ground, crying out with exertion as he tries to break free.

His arms are twisted back and his sabres fall out of his hands, and then he is grappling for his life, as her guns twist around towards his head, and still you are too far away...

"Let him go!" Jelena shouts, attempting to use Combat Push to relieve her of her blasters.

Not a hope at this range, I am afraid...

Thirteen Charnellian shots come in her direction. The first dozen miss like all the others.

She makes a Force Dodge on the thirteenth attack, taking her dodge to 18.

The attack rolled a +2 for a 16, but it also had a fortune point put into it, for another +5, taking the attack to a 21; a hit. The shot burns across her back, destroying part of her clothing.

Her head flicks over, snarling in the direction of her attacker, letting Sunda go.

Anaz Kuylen, his pelisse flapping behind in in the wind, stands atop a broken wall in the Sanctuary, his pistol still trained down upon her.

Jelena closes her eyes in relief.

Thank the Force...

She rushes over to Sunda with Blur, amazed by Anaz's shot and thankful that the General had made it in time.

(I thought you couldn't use Force Dodge without a Lightsaber?)

Who told you that? It's not a Sabre Defence power.

As you run over, She opens fire on Anaz, who dives backwards behind the wall to get clear. She runs on,- you are not sure where she is headed- and does a jump over another obstacle to get behind it.

As you draw closer, you can see Anaz preparing a grenade, gesturing vigorously, directing his men forwards.

"No, Anaz!" Jelena shouts to him. "No grenades! She will send it back, she has the Dark Side of the Force as her ally! She send it back!"

Jelena races after the Disturbance.

Anaz is moving down to try and flank her, and you don't think he heard you. You keep trying to close in, but she is still moving as well, and fast.

A medical team, on Anaz's instructions, has come forwards to Sunda as you rush by him, but he is getting up,m and reufsing their aid. He gathers his Lightsabres.

Anaz dashes forwards onto higher ground, and flings his grenade forwards.

You watch with a painful inevitability as, with a contemptuous smile on her face, she outstretches a hand to fling the grenade backwards as it nears her.

But again, it is her turn to be surprised. In the same movement as he threw with his left hand, he brings his gun around with impressive speed with his right and pulls off an astonishing snap shot.

He shoots his own grenade in mid-air just as she was trying to repel it. It therefore explodes much closer to her than she had anticipated, and knocks her to the ground, finally giving you an opportunity to get closer.

He will never cease to amaze me...

Jelena Blurs in with her lightsaber held high as the Disturbance is flung to the ground by the blast. As she closes, she activates Ward and Sidestep, then performs a Flying Charge to close distance and whisk her lightsaber around at the woman's waist as she goes.

(What is she on, damage-wise? I hit her with my lightsaber, Anaz shot her once, and she was hit by that grenade...)

She is injured, you could try to take her alive!

She's not going down THAT easily...

Even if she dies, I suspect there are others like her.......

Oh, she effectively dived clear of the grenade and the gun shot didn't hurt her too much; she's not impaired yet.

Your Flying Charge rolls... evens. Not good enough I am afraid.

She flings herself backwards to take shots at you. Frame loss from yuo Warding and Sidestepping allows her to disengage very fast, I am afraid.

"Keep shooting, Anaz!" Jelena shouts, as she takes a risk charging down the strange woman. Evade out any damage she deals to me.

You just blew a load of force on Ward and Sidestep!

She rolls evens, but that's a hit on you, Jelena (even with a dodge, still a hit, so maybe that's just as well). But that;s another 14 damage, reduced to 11 by Sidestep, that you rerally cannot afford!

It certainly precludes you charging her down.

Anaz comes down to your side as she dashes inside a tall building.

"Who the HELL is that?" he yells.

"I don't know!" Jelena shouts to him. "She ambushed us in the Vault, and she killed the Venerable Z'Har! She has a power that was never taught by the Jedi or the Sith, and it flows from the Dark Side of the Force. Defying gravity is not natural!"

She looks up at the tall building.

"Do you know what building that is?"

"Nothing you people do is normal! And it's the Ethnology department."

He smiles.

"Thanks for the warning, by the way."

"You heard me?" Jelena says, returning the smile. "I thought for sure you were going to end up with a load of shrapnel in you. I see why you are the leader of your people."

She looks up at the building.

"We need to stop her, somehow. I don't want to exhaust your soldiers on her; they are no match. She does not even bother with defensive maneuvers against them. Only you."

She thinks for a moment.

"Would you escort Roan and I into the Ethnology department?"

Your answer is the rear of his pelisse billowing as he dashes inside.

"You'll never meet a Charnellian who turns down a fight..." he comments.

Jelena grins at his eagerness to help.

"I must warn you, she is able to treat the ceiling, wall, and floor equally," she says. "And if you didn't notice, she's a great shot. The Force aids her in combat more than I've ever seen a gunslinger use."
