You only get a very terse reply, Xeth. They sent you to find things out, not to just bounce questions back at them. You have a mystery- you find the answers.
Gralus himself, a policeman, says you should treat this like a criminal case. If something odd and extreme has happened, it must involve odd and extreme motives. Don't be blinded by the extraordinary- remember that you have basic questions to ask too. Basically, don't forget to unravel any mystery that would still be a mystery even without this apparent new enemy. After all, one of your number has already questioned how the Cultists had the fuel to make the attack, and you still don't know why they attacked a passenger liner.
Small points often build up to big rewards.
Let the Jedi deal with the Cult- you take care of the mystery.
"Well.." Arken started, as he leaned back against one of the bulk heads and turned to whoever happend to be near by (lost track of where everyone is stumbling around) "First thing's first.. we aren't going to get much more information out of this ship.. and if we want answers, that planet is the place to go.." He paused a momment to scratch his chin thoughtfuly, pondering on something before turning to the near by Captain. "Do you have a ship we can use to reach this planet, or are we on our own in that matter?"
If there is anything else on the ship worth taking a look at, can you kind of nudge us in the right direction, ush? I don't want to stumble from room to room making observation roles for the next week x_x
Well, you already got the log recovery which gave the others the location of the main fighting, Kiu.
But you have recovered something else also- the external sensor logs form the time of the attack. That's odd. You assumed the pirates were laying in wait.
(In fact, this would have made little sense as the Alzarians patrol these nav points)
They didn't. The pirates actually jumped the liner with a high-speed interception which would have required considerable prep. Which means that this target was not simply the first that came along- it was deliberate.
And their angle of attack does not lead back to Charaeus.
-
Desnk- which room? It's a big ship. There's stuff to find in the right places.
-
Arken- indeed they do have a ship that can reach Chareus. In fact, if you feel it is a good time, they would like to discuss tactical options with you.
No. You have no idea what they did before they arrived. For all you know they did come from Chareus but deliberately went wide and approached this final area from another direction; you just can't think of a reason they would do that, especially if low on fuel, the fuel issue being one that is bugging you guys.
That's quite a big request. The Trade Federation has several contracts in this area, by which a fair few goods that the Techno Union are ultimately responsible for get sold, but this sector of space is not sophisticated enough to have universal records of all ingoing and outgoing craft. Remember you are at the very edge of the Republic and civilisation wavers here.
You did, though not in detail. The cargo hold has been stripped. That tallies, at least.
First glance doesn't reveal any particular route from that line, Xeth. Some more detail might be handy. However, it's very easy to change your course shortly before emerging from hyperspace; tracing them might take more effort than that.
