Ah well, gotta give people a chance...

True.

Any news on Delfedd, by the way?

Afraid not.

A shame. At least we still have one of our nutso swordsmen.

Can Vera-Kin sense anything out of the ordinary?

Nothing at all!

Good!

nothing out of the ordinary is good, so there shouldn't be any suprise security.

Yeah hope Delfedd get's back soon.

Densk waits rather calmly.

Ok, that will do.

It takes about fifteen minutes to get to the correct point of the security tapes- the loading of the Phoenix, two weeks ago.

"This is it," Xeth says. "Play it."

The footage plays, in eerie silence.

Nothing suspicious about the cargo-loading itself, except...

... that what is being loaded is FAR too large. Not even close to being packs of agricultural equipment. You peer closely at the screen, trying to make out what it is...

Resonating coils? The primary link in the construction of anti-grav hover devices.

"What...?" Xeth says, peering closer. "What would the Cult need those for?"

Specifically, you can but guess.

But the single greatest user of anti-grav hover devices...

... is the Techno Union. None of their war machines use tracks, legs or wheels- from the STAPS to their tanks to their troop transports, they ALL use hover drives.

Vera, someone is coming.

"So, that is what the Techno Union has given them," Xeth says, glaring at the tapes.

Vera-Kin turns to the others. "Someone approaches."

How far off, Ush?

"Damn," Xeth says. "We need to warn Master Marcus and Vlad that they're walking into bigger trouble..."

Xeth also wants to know how far off this person is before we take any action.

About 15 seconds.

Just one person I hope.

Vera-Kin will step out to greet this man, motioning for the others to await her signal.

When he gets quite close down the corridor to you, it becomes clear he is the security commander.

Vera-Kin steps right up to him, leaning on her cane.

"How may I help you, sir?" Vera-Kin asks, in a silly tone.
