He gives a start.

"What the hell are you doing here?" he asks.

"No interest you have in that," Vera-Kin chuckles, attempting the use of a Mind Trick.

No luck, sadly.

"No interest? These are MY offices! Explain yourself!"

Vera-Kin suddenly loses her cheerful demeanor.

"I would like to speak with the owner of this facility," Vera-Kin says, frowning. "Take me to him, or you may find yourself in a lot of trouble..."

"What the hell is this? Clear out before I have you arrested."

"Find it hard, you will, to arrest a Jedi Master," Vera-Kin says, retrieving whatever form of identification a Jedi would carry, making sure that the man sees her lightsaber. "Take me to the owner of this facility or arrested, you will be."

(Now THIS is what I've always been wanting to see in the Renegade plot... 😄 )

"Kiu, make a copy of the tape and put it onto this datastick," Xeth says, passing it to him. "I want to make sure we don't lose it."

"Jedi? Arrested?"

(nervous)

"What the hell for?"

Xeth would like to check the listings he had earlier to see if there were any other ships loaded on Alzarius in this bay or any of the other bays.

Vera-Kin would like to Scan him.

"I'm the one asking the question, sir, so kindly take me to the facility's owner," Vera-Kin says. "You will be arrested if you bar my path."

Intimidation roll!

Very worried indeed!

If you remember, Xeth, every single ship on your list that had a cargo you could not identify the use of ame from Alzarius.

"But... ah geez.... ok..."

"Thank you," Vera-Kin says, "now lead me to him."

(Chris, might I suggest you check other cargo shipments loaded around the same time, or even recently? I'll see what I can get from the owner...)

Sounds good...

Xeth will have Kiu check other parts of the security tapes, now that the man is headed off. Also, is it possible for him to ring up Marcus' comlink?

The owner? Why do we need him involved. We were able to convince this guy to leave us alone but now we'll have to deal with an entire another level of authority.
Possibly republican authority seeing as this a LARGE ass ship station. if he is a republican authority it'll be alot harder to bulshit him, he could check us out through the republic to see if we are legally suppost to be here. We have to avoid him.

Then again, if we say nevermind the head gaurd will most likely tell the owner of our presence being head gaurd.

There has to be an in-between.

We don't have to bluff anyone. We're Jedi, and they've committed a crime by supplying military-grade parts to a terrorizing Cult. We don't want to shut down the entire place, we just want the Techno Union link. Vera-Kin is not one for caring about legal issues, either.

solves that dilemma

Really, they have the choices of "We shut down your operation and we jail you all" or "You stay free, but we catch the Techno Union with their pants down and you're not done for!"

But we'll see where things take this.

Marcus is very much out of contact- remember, when spread between planets, your only points of contact are your ships.

This place is too far out for the Republic to have an official hand in the running of this place; it will all be local.

The security chief wants to get some things from his office first, Vera.

You guys seem to be getting a good grip of the situation, which is all to the better. Densk is correct- no matter what the actual situation of this set-up was, there must have been a go-between at some point.

But most likely, by now it would be far too late to catch him- once set up, the operation probably ran itself. Even if you got a description, it would just be some guy you had no physical evidence against, and tracking him down could take forever. Basically, you are too late to actually catch the Union with its pants down for setting this one up- but it could lead you to something more contemporary.

Well, at least we have something!

Has Kiu found any other evidence on the security tapes? Xeth can feed him the information he needs, combining the attack listings and the cargo directory.

He needs something specific to look for.
