USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE III (RENEGADES)- The Hunters Hunted

You can actually be in this fight, if you have the time to play...

I might have time, but I'll wait to rejoin the action when I have power back at my place. I'm just checking up on things for now.

I am afraid yes, the bastard does have this habit of moving and firing, Vera.

Xeth, you take a shot. +4 for a 17 is a hit! And it dissipates harmlessly off the shield. Dearie me, you should have known that.

Xeth: 5/12/2
Kiu: 9/14/3
Vera: 7/14/3

'The Dark Thrael': 0/3

Kiu has frams to spare and so could easily have closed; the Thrael is firing at you both again. [/B]

I'll close and snap attack.

Snap? That's be a lucky hit... but -3 is a miss in any case.

The Dark Thrael attacks again. But this time, its guns do not fire. Instead, after a brief power build up, a huge wave cascades out of it's new open panel, and it seems to detonate over the nearby area.

Upon contact with Kiu and Vera, it starts to burn, horribly. Clothes catch fire and flesh is blasted away. But the wave loses power before it reaches Xeth,

Xeth- a tissue disruptor? But that's a heavy yield close-range weapon! It actually lured the others in!

What sort of robot is programmed to lure a foe to close range? Virtually no-one in the Galaxy fights up close!

You see it clearly now, it's squat, vase-like form full of sensors atop itself, and the hover motos beneath, the side panels carrying its deadly payload, which it uses to good effect.

That hurt. I'm going to snap attack again, hoping to land something finally.

Just as a warning, the -2 from snapping makes you HIGHLY unlikely to hit.

Furthermore, as a snap would frame you out the same as a full attack anyway, you may as well go full on.

GRRR. I just noticed. I'll go with normal attack.

+6 from Kiu is in fact a hit! A 20 gets a blow on the Thrael, for 11 damage. Finally you manage to guide a bloe through its shield and get a brief contact, causing a shower of sparks and making it speed back a little with a high-pitched whine.

Can Vorm be added into the fight Ush?

If he's very quick at turning up, yes.

Well, I suppose it's a good thing I was trying to pointlessly blow the thing apart with my gun.

The distance between myself and the Thrael is probably too much for Xeth to reach it in this sequence, but he'll trade his blaster for his lightsaber and head towards it.

Vera-Kin shouts in anguish as the tissue disruptor tears across her small, frail body, tossing off her robe.

If the Thrael is in attack range, Vera-Kin will Strike and then make a standard blow. If not, she will close the range, Sword Whirl, and attack.

Ok, Xeth closes in as Vera makes an attack, but she fares no better.

New sequence! And it must be said, the Thrael sees no reason to do anything other than fire the tissue disruptor again, where it promptly hits all of you. Only good news is that I oversttaed the damagr from it last time...

Vera just passes a death check.

This time after firing, the Thrael moves upwards out of normal reach.

"Stupid droid..." Xeth mutters, then, after activating Sidestep, performs another Flying Charge.

Your more immediate aggravation here, Xeth, is that your clothes are on fire. Evens from you is certainly not enough on the Charge!

As another panel opens up from the Thrael, it sprays more firepower down on Vera; -1 is Dodged by her.

I laugh at you, Chris. 😄

Shush.

Flip isn't a jumping attack that could get Xeth up there, right?

If not, Xeth will attempt yet another Flying Charge...

...

Could Combat Push be used to mess with one of its compartments?

No, Combat Push is useless on anything other than Mooks.

A Flying Charge it will have to be, Xeth- and -1 misses again.

In this time, what looks like an aerial has unfolded from inside one of your opponent's panels. For a moment, a small ball of energy builds up at its tip...

... and then a moment later, a long, piercing beam lances out and sweeps at high speed across where Xeth is. Evens is a hit on Xeth. This beam damages like a Lightsabre.
