USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE III (DARK SIDE)- The Way Back

Started by Ushgarak170 pages

Still paralysed, nothing suspcious, and Tanic has the answer to your worries.

TANIC!

What's the answer? 😄

😕

Either tracking devices or that we need to get out of here alive...?

What's Tanic's answer?

(facepalm)

The tracking devices.

Knew it!

Detour to a nearby planet that's in the Outer Rim, we'll remove the tracking devices but leave them intact so that the Bureau, if it bothers to come after us into the Outer Rim, will only find tracking devices...

The important point is that Tanic remembers to tell you about them. Then they are not hard to take care of.

All other things being ok, are folks fine to head back to Epireus?

Yeah, I thought t'would be that - just everybody was already saying that! It could have been a revelation!

So yeah - good plan, Rex.

Other than removing the tracking devices, yup, we're ready for Epireus!

Indeed.

Yay!

In that case, you guys blur into hyperspace, with the feel of a job well done! Well... eventually, anyway.

Buerau Headquarters, Newhaven

Agent S'Nar leaned back, with a bored look on his face. The chair, like all others on this world, was made of pterified stone and not built for comfort, though just like the Osokans he worked with, S'Nar cared little. He was looking at the jamming device the Dark Siders had used; simple-minded Dug security had fallen for a simple ruse. At least there was some satisfcation in the imminent 'disappearance' of the Dug seucrity liasion that would result from such failure.

"You let them get away then?" asked S'Nar. He didn't need to go into details of the implication behind that question; Rogan knew full well what was meant.

"We wouldn't have gotten all of them."

"Hmm?"

"The one at the Office here, and the apparent loss of the tracking device on the ship that moved away, and that they had an escape vehicle... some of them would have escaped. Those that escaped would never have returned. Do you really want to take half when we could take all?"

"I can think of a few questions Coruscant might ask about that tactic."

"Then deal with them."

"Such as why such factors weren't allowed for in your grab."

"If I had received advanced intelligence about who they were I might have. You cannot track a prey without good information. They ARE the ones Helkin was tracing, yes?"

S'Nar nodded.

"Then they deserve more than a plan on the spot, and no such plan will catch them."

"Still... driving away from you seems... disappointing."

"Again... if your superiors had given intelligence on where the broods of Rand and Kuylen hole themselves up instead of congratulating themselves on a false report of their death, we might have known why they were here. As it is, they slipped through., Had it not been for your... 'instincts'... we might not have known they were here at all."

"I suppose I could find someone to pass the buck to on that one. It was indeed someone's grave error to report them dead. We might even make this look good... IF we follow through."

"Then we shall," growled Rogan.

"Do you really think they'll come back? Are they that stupid?"

"It's inevitable. The Hunt is joined. Their egos won't let them stay away now."

S'Nar began to raise an objection, but then stopped, as a feeling became clear in his mind.

"You know what? I think you're right. Very well then. You'll be wanting extra forces in advance?"

"No."

"No?"

"No. I can do it with what we have. More would just to too unwieldly and more easily spotted. They can't stand against me; we just need the right situation."

"That will be your job."

"Killed Agent Helkin, didn't they?" said Rogan, with a smile.

"That was his price for being dumb enough to go to the fight himself," says S'Nar. "That will never happen with me."

"No, those instincts of yours don't like it do they? Heheheh..."

"I shall go make the necessary arrangements," finishes S'Nar. "It may take a while, but we'll get them."

S'Nar paused at the doorway out.

"After all, we got their transponder codes."

-

Well, that's pretty much it for your story, folks. You have your generator and Epireus is safe. Well, kinda... the pirates can't bombard you now, but they'll try in other ways. There's a war coming for you, it seems- and unless you kill all of them, the location of your base is not secure.

Tricky.

At least Xavier tried.

Good work, everyone.

KILL THEM ALL!
Then take their ships & transponder codes! 😈

Job well done, guys!

If he stayed any longer trying to jam the transmitter he'd have gotten killed....too bad it didn't work though. Sorta makes it seem like that whole try was a waste.

But still....we didn't majorly screw this up 😄

That is a very Galder-like comment 😂

Xavier did fine- he prevented your ships being tracked and the alert being given out whilst you were still in the Republic.

But they got your codes in dock when you led them to your ships; they fitted the trackers at the same time.

Well, they would have had our transponder codes from when we landed - I don't think it would have been too hard to simply check which ships were still there after we left...

Those codes aren't routinely checked like that; they have to have cause. Only the Bureau is organised enough to make such effort.

Well, that will make going back into the Republic troublesome....

Oh well. Still looked bitchin' and Xavier has certainly earned his keep.

And like Tanic says...we can always steal all the transponders that the pirates have. 😄

Well done, everyone. I'm proud to say that we've gotten through another episode without dying.
