starwars Your right hayden licked balls in that movie but ewan easily over shadowed him as the main character and when he confronted anakin and the bright light shining behind him as he prepared to fight him was a touch of brilliance. But I'm more of a bale fan i meadn every movie I've seen him in empire of the sun, shaft, reign of fire and batman begins he has given nothing but one hundred percent, i mean he even lost weight for the machinist now thats dedication.

Yes Bale is great......so is McGregor...but the Batman Movie as awhole was just better......

Its not so much a contest between the two casts, because Begins would win that hands down. Its more about the value as a movie.

This is dumb. now batman is 48 votes. star wars had already won days ago.
rots is more dramatic and way more story than batman. batman is all about a guy becomin a bat pffft! rots is about the fall of a hero and becomin a villain.
anakin pwns batman. Lucas did a good job in shapin the story and he deliver.

Did we see Anakin as true hero?

to be precise: no, but you do know he is one

McGreggor is a great actor. Christensen can be good (I liked him in Shattered Glass) but in ROTS he was terrible.

You know, there is a certain acting scheme for the Star Wars Universe? It isn't in the same time or genre as Batman Begins. they have to act and talk differently in ROTS...

I still think ROTS was the better movie, but everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Here goes: I liked ROTS movie more and I prefer it, but Batman Begins is the better movie... I am both a Batman/Star Wars fan as well, so you know that I'm not biased...

No, I don't think so. Acting is acting period. It don't matter where or when does the story takes place. The acting should always be top notch. I will agree both films aren't in the same genre, but acting wise...uh-uh.

Not at all WD... not at all 😑
It's Star Wars, Christensen does what he has to do: play with restraint emotions, trying not to show any since Jedi can't show them. So it is very clear that he has to act differently than Nolan (the guy that played Batman, no?)

from what they tell you in ROTS, he was the hero of the clone wars. So if you pay attention to the dialogue you know he is one.

That is indeed a key part of the character in the story. Not to show and restrain his emotions. Whereas the actor who is performing the role of a jedi does not make a convincing act (at least in my opinion) And I'm not saying that Christensen is a bad actor is just that his performance (for me) wasn't very good in ROTS. But that is just me. On a personal note I did enjoy Ewan McGregor's performance throught the trilogy.

Now, Christian Bale (not Nolan he's the director 😛) has an even tougher role to play. He plays two very different characters. One is Bruce Wayne who is searching for ways to fight injustice and the other is Batman which is the result of Bruce's quest.

he does not do a convincing act of restraining his emotions? I'm thinking you saw another movie here... he did nothing but restrain his emotions, something most people don't get and say he's a lousy actor for that.

(pffft, close enough, I knew he had something to do with the movie 😛) so the more characters someone plays in a movie the tougher it is? So Mike Myers (or however you spell it) is the best actor around then since he plays three to four people in the same movie

I didn't say he was the best actor. I said he has a tougher role to play in BB. Which is what Christian Bale had to work with. And again I don't think Hayden is a lousy actor.

p.s. forget Mike Myers...how about Eddie Murphy in the Nutty Professor. 😛

it's wet and gives him a headache?

but why do you think he played a tougher role? cause of playing two contrasting figures?

I'm trying to forget that one *shivers*

I think that because of the magnitude in difference between the two characters. One is an agressive alter ego of a rich man who wants to have justice in his beloved city. While mainting (sp?) his identity secret from others.

Which throws me back to Bale's performance in American Psycho which was also a challenging role of two very different characters. Funny, but in that film he also plays a rich millionare with a double indentity. Hmmm.......

I hate it wen people say hayden christensen who plays anakin skywalker (episodes II,III & VI) is a bad actor i think he's brilliant and he's just doing what he has to do!

Batman gets a 2.1. Star Wars gets a 10.9. I FREAKIN LOVED IT!!! 👆

yo check it BB was the shizzle to the dizzle wickedph
