Oh wow. My first job was a grocery store cashier. It was a mom and pop type of place that catered mostly to the elderly. I think i lasted about 8 months. Than I quit the day they offered me a promotion. It was an ok job. Sometimes you craptacular customers, but all in all, it wasn't too bad. Just make sure you have really comfortable shoes.
