Regardless people are looking at only the person paying for the service, and not the prostitute. Most are doing it to pay for a drug habit or another, or they are in SERIOUS financial trouble. You make it seem like they do it because its their first choice in a lifetime career. These people usually have serious issues, and should be looked at as a human.Myself, no I'm not a person that derives on a relationship with an opposite sex to keep me happy, but since you said RELATIONSHIP inexplicitly, I would say everyone needs someone to talk to whether they'd admit it or not, don't you agree?
so, you have interviewed the entire world population and they all said they need people to talk to?

Prostitution may not be the first descision, but for some it's the only one, say they're not qualified for a better paying job, and Mcdonalds jobs certainly wouldn't make ends meet. Prostitution is how impoverished women get out of poverty, would you rather have thousands of homeless women, or thousands of men having sex?
Vanilla Tears asked whether it was right for girls (strangely enough men aren't mentioned, either as sellers or buyers, but that aside) to have sex for money. in your example I don't think it's 'right', unless you interpret 'right' as 'understandable'. if women prostitute themselves because they don't have a proper education and thus can't get a job, prostitution becomes a symptom of a society that forces people to do things against their own will and expose themselves to risks which can ultimately be deadly. accepting prostitution on that basis very correctly leave us with the grotesque choice between homeless women and thousands of men having sex. not exactly a very human choice to make. besides, I doubt whether prostitution, in most cases, helps women out of poverty. it may help them to feed themselves on a daily basis, but it won't make them less poor in the long run.
you have to ask why are people against prostitution so much...
is it because we can see it...
its there at our homes...
in our cities...
I'm not speaking for everyone just for some people...
then you have to ask yourself how do we get rid of it...
we cant...
for thousands of years humans have enjoyed sexual relations such as these...
so if we cant get rid of it how can we hid it...
so that people who don't want to see it don't...
and the people who want it have it...
well over here in some state prostitution is still illegal...
however brothels are legal...
this takes it off the street...
provides a safe environment for the girls...
and can increase the amount of protection available to them...
now i know people are going to hate me for saying this but eh...
In Poland we have a think called sponsoring, which is a "half" prostitution. Female students without much money look for sponsors- rich middle aged men who want a young woman company for a longer period of time, like few months. For some it is the only way to get money for studies, and some claim they like it. What do you think?

is it right for girls to have sex with who ever they want for a couple thousand a night>?
i don't really agree with prostitution, but i don't understand why its illegal in most states. whose right is it to say who you can or cannot sleep with even if money is involved?

It is the right of the government to prevent the spread of transmitted diseases in the name of protecting its citizens. It is the right of the government to provide a moral guideline for us to follow. It is the right of the government to outlaw cash transactions of which it is unable to collect income tax.

good point, but it will never be truly illegalized. there are more inconspicous methods out there than standing out on a street corner or working for a brothel.
