Ok JM, lets say you're living in an impoverished gettho, everyday ten people die, your mother has cancer and you're father was shot in a drive by. The only way to make money is sell yourself. Do you have sex for a couple of nights to make ends meet? Or do you get evicted and die in the street?
Jackie, thou hast yet to answer my question.

and why does everybody want a relationship? on what do you base yourself to think that's the ultimate, or one of the, goal for a human?
Regardless people are looking at only the person paying for the service, and not the prostitute. Most are doing it to pay for a drug habit or another, or they are in SERIOUS financial trouble. You make it seem like they do it because its their first choice in a lifetime career. These people usually have serious issues, and should be looked at as a human.
Myself, no I'm not a person that derives on a relationship with an opposite sex to keep me happy, but since you said RELATIONSHIP inexplicitly, I would say everyone needs someone to talk to whether they'd admit it or not, don't you agree?

Prostitution may not be the first descision, but for some it's the only one, say they're not qualified for a better paying job, and Mcdonalds jobs certainly wouldn't make ends meet. Prostitution is how impoverished women get out of poverty, would you rather have thousands of homeless women, or thousands of men having sex?

Thank you for using consideration and answers in your debates. 😉
Thats what I just mentioned, which is why it isn't a good thing in a sense, if you knew this, would you still enjoy intercourse with them.
What if they have a boyfriend or spouse at home? Or what about their friends and family, prostitution for most isn't a consistant job alone, to constantly make money. Those are ones in organizations and such, and people with that effort and focus could find a more profitable way to make ends meet. My life is no walk in the park like mosts, but the people who want things and work hard for them, in the end aren't dissapointed.
On homelessness, depends on where in the us, the opportunities for success are very high, I work for myself. At one point the unemployment rate was at 3 percent, and the unemployed are the ones SEARCHING for jobs after losing another.
If prostitution was the honorable way, then why not marry rich, you'd have a roof on your head, but alas, nothing in life is free.

Is sexual gratification the end all and be all of human integrity?
No, neither are video games, masturbation, movies, the internet, TV, and other things we enjoy, but they're legal. But this is a debate about prostitution, if someone wants to do it, it's none of you're bussiness wether they should or shouldn't, let them do it and mind you're own bussiness. IMO prostitution should be legalised.
Yep and it depends on who and what it affects, who's to say speeding is legal and illegal. These things affect all of us whether you like it or not.
I could care less about what the person is doing, we could say ignore abortion, does legal make it right and vice versa.
What if a person you knew were to become a prostitute, your mom? What if she was on a mans whore's list?
Let it stay how it is, the world wouldn't be made that better by it IMO. If it were legal, the prostitutes wouldn't get paid as much, because it would go to the government, though I agree with you in some aspects, seeing as its the oldest profession, the world is fine without it IMO

The world is fine with it too, if my mom wants to be a prostitute I'd support that descision, it's hers not mine.
