Comic Book Questions

Started by jrodslam575 pages

I have a question. Im sure its probably been asked before, but when Sue is in her bubble, is she susceptible to psy attacks or anything else?

Same for Mags in his shield(without helmet).

Don't know about Sue...but Magneto is extremely resistant to telepathy. In 616, his helmet doesn't actually hasn't been stated to block telepathy in anywhere else then Grant Morrison's New X-Men, and Morrison is usually regarded as the worst Magneto writer ever.

Sue has never blocked telepathy.

Thanks DC and Scoob.

Sue never blocked telepathy via forcefield? Has she been effected by anything else while in it?

If so, can i get some scans or examples of when it happened and against whom?

Thanks again for the help guys.

I thinkk it's more a question of X-23 not having hte strength to cut this person rather than them being absolutely invulnerable.

🙂

Cool, guess you learn something new everyday. 🙂

Well Kimura did also survive this:

So invulnerability should play some part. 😬

There's more from X-23 Target X #4, Spoilers:

Would IronMan be able to see MrTerrific?

With his eyes, yes ... with his scanners ... dunno ... probably not.

Thanks Exodus.

If anyone else has any examples of Sue being effected by anything while in her FF, scans would be greatly appreciated.

what issue is that?

What's the point?

I was just reading through the Authority Respect thread (nicely done, btw), and this popped into my head after reading about Swift...

What's the point of a character with wings? I mean, there are so many characters who fly w/o wings (eg, Apollo, Engineer), why even bother with a character with wings? What does this character add? What could he/she do that a character flying without wings can't?

I'd like to think that, because a winged character has the added assets, he/she would be a better aerial combatant that a character flying w/o wings (assuming, of course, no major discrepancy in power levels between the characters), but this is certainly subjective.

So, then, what's the point? The only real answer I can come up with is, "Wings look cool."

She's definitely the fifth wheel of the team, although her flight speed rivals Apollo's. I'm glad you finally checked out the Authority. I recommend the Warren Ellis and Mark Millar arcs. Its goes a bit down hill after that. 🙂

How the hell does Superman store So much energy ?

When you consider that E=mc2, and that a kilogram of mass releases the equivalent energy of a 22 megaton nuke, and it takes a Billions of nukes to move masses the size of the moon, Superman must be packing a LOT of mass. The guy must literally weigh millions of tons, which complicates things even more, at it would take huge amounts of energy to propel something that heavy around. smile

Basicly yes wings look cool.

But from a historical and mythological persective wings also have a strong association with power and protection.

Apparently wings let you feel shifts in air patterns and stuff much easier:

shrug

How many total comic book covers did Wolverine appeared in?

3.6 billion! .... and that's just last year.
