I was asking whether it was the result of particle radiation or whether it was the result of em radiation.

Not both, 😛.

If it was EM radiation, then it'd clearly move at the speed of light. If it was particle radiation, it'd still be fast - but obviously a lot slower than C.

Not sure if it helps but Superman could feel the kryptonite radiation that was coming from an asteroid seventy-two hours away from Earth.
