I just noticed the best thing- in issue six of JLA volume three, one of the things Morrison puts into the Flash's display case of trophies is "Kirby Dots"- you know, the weird crackle effect Kirby used for space stuff. it's in a little jar. adorable. never noticed that before.
details like that make me love comics.

I have a question about the Sinestro corps storyline. In Green Lantern #21 and #22 Hal fights Parallax whilst it has possessed Kyle. Parallax shows Hal's fear which is the loss of his Dad. There was an empty speech bubble before Hal's Dad died to show that hal didn't know his Dad's last words and the following issue also referred to this. Has it been cleared up anywhere as to what Papa Jordan said in his final moments? It's been really bugging me......
I gots a question...
Superman 'apparently' gets stronger over the years, or so I heard...
So, why back in '87 did Superman only stalemate Orion, and now in 2007; why does Superman only stalemate Orion?
That's 'supposedly' 20 years of solar absorption.
He should be able to one punch the b*tch... shouldn't he?

Didn't he expend almost all of his solar stores after his fight with old Doomsday? He came back pretty weak. Just depends on how much energy the eradicator was able to put back into him I guess.
alright... I imagine most major DC fans know this already but...
okay, so anyone on this forum who knows a modicum about me knows that I'm a Law student at a fairly intensive university (aka Brown...)... so as much as I love reading comics... and as much as my dream in life is to be involved in comics, I can't be absorbed in them as much as I wish I could....
so everyone tells me the JLU TV show was amazing... and I rarely, rarely, rarely download things... but the TV show was one of the things I did
and I loved it. so I went to my local comic book shop recently, and I saw that there was series based on the show... so I picked up as complete of a run of it as I thought manageable (something like 1-34) and......ly
it's a great comic. I've read most everything DC or Marvel or any indie company has to offer... and the DCU comics are just AWESOME... complete done-in-one type adventures with protagonists that you aren't expecting like Jonah Hex, Jack Knight Starman, Stargirl, J'onn J'onzz, Adam Strange, Etrigan.... it's really well done, and it's the WHOLE DCU without baggage or pain or encumbrances... I love it, and I'd recommend reading Justice League Unlimited to anyone who wants to get a grasp on the DCU without reading everything that's been published since the death of Barry...
