What effect would the Anti-Matter wave have in Marvel? Would it be able to destroy a universe?

Only if we assume that Marvel's Universes are made of positive matter energy -- and that when these two types of energy met, in Marvel, it would have the same affect as in DC.

I think it's a pretty safe assumption that anti-matter + matter = release of energy no matter whether we refer to DC or marvel, and that the MU is made of positive matter. Just like we won't question that the laws of gravity apply similarly to both companies.

Question: If Magneto made a guest appearance in Avengers: The Initiative looking to recruit Mutant X and Trauma but came across the Nazi Scientist Baron Von Blitzschlag...which approach do you think current Mags would take?

Approach 1:

Kill him?

a small request...

would anyone have a current wonder woman bio? just basics, history, powers etc, but taking into account any retcons etc...

and no, not wiki or dc database... 😛

Is herc an immortal again? and back to full strength?

in incredible hulk he is not as strong as he was at full power as he was depending of namora's help to lift rubble & combat hulkbuster.

Also i read a short artist comment/or was it Greg pak(not sure) in one of the adverts of the incredible herc runs coming soon and they called him a demigod?

It may be a safe assumption in your eyes -- but it can't be proven.

Hence the assumption caveat. Comics may bend physics in some instances, like being able to go faster than light, but matter/anti-matter interactions have been stated on panel more than once. I don't think it is going to change.

As for the assumption that the MU is made of positive matter, we have never seen anti-matter of high-enough quantities to replicate a universe, thus that is not just a safe assumption, it is the only logical assumption.

I just noticed the first image is blurry.

I've uploaded it to imageshack :

Can anyone give me a few scans off the top of their head where you have Superman using his powers in a scientifically plausable way? I'm too lazy to search the 70 page Respect Thread.

Oh and if its not to much trouble anything with good art would be a plus. I've already got a few things I'm looking for stuff from the more popular heroes.

Can anyone tell me if Eddie will become Venom again?. Instead of that loser Gargan.

superman plausible? are you insane? 😛

lol, honestly though, generally his powers by their very nature contradict physics/nature/science etc...

Comic book physics IS real world physics, except where otherwise stated. The Hulk manipulating energy because he's JUST THAT STRONG is realistic to a comic book world. A character holding trillions of tons without just 'punching through it,' is realistic in a comic book world.

Unless shown otherwise, though, physics applies to the comic world just as much as our world. In my humble opinion, of course.

I think exceptions can be made.

Like this instance. When Doop completely enters his own forehead. ermmha

Did you miss where I was talking about exceptions?

If doop has entered his own head, clearly, he can enter his own head. If the Hulk can muscle around energy, clearly, he can physically manipulate energy. If Superman can lift a mountain without simply going straight through it, clearly, he can lift a mountain without simply going through it.

If anti matter and matter came in contact on panel and had different effects than it 'should,' without explanation? Then, whatever those effects were would be the 'canon' effects of matter and antimatter.

Otherwise, we assume that light has wave-particle duality, we assume that anti-matter and matter annihilate, we assume that gravity is between two bodies of matter, we assume the laws of physics hold except where shown otherwise.
