Comic Book Questions

Generally yes it's MP (under the name of phasing). Vision apparently lowers his density until he can slip between atoms or something. I don't know of any comic character that slips into another dimension for intangibility.

Some matter manipulators (Surfer, Doc Manhattan, GL) seem have used their powers to alter the material as they pass through it to mimic intangibility.

What method do you think the Surfer used in the FF2 movie? What did the CGI team have in mind (other than cool FX)? Phasing? Liquification? Maybe a rebounding fold in space...

Surfer seemed to have been using either matter manip or warping space. I think the CGI team intended it to be matter manipulation because it fits with what he did though out the movie.

I am lookinf for a recent comic book series. Its about a super hero community who have gotten older. Now the retired heroes are being murdered one by one. It was recommended by a friend but I dont remember the name of it.

what darkseid material could people recommend for me to read as essential darksied story's(other than the respect thread)

'The Great Darkness Saga' would be my #1 recommendation.

Then stories like 'Genesis', and 'Cosmic Odyssey'... 🙂

Any chance it's Gail Simone's excellent "Welcome to Tranquility," from the Wildstorm imprint? Retired super hero town... starts off with a murder of one of the older heroes. It's not quite about a string of murders, but it sounds like what you're talking about.

Your right, thanks

Could Magneto heal a broken bone theoretically?

And if he could, could he strengthen it?

Martian Manhunter...

Liek srsly? I thought he was a phaser.

I've heard that referenced once (in regards to J'onn going to another dimension). And even then, it was in an online bio.

Most often, Martians still have an atomic resonance when they go "intangible."

He supposedly shifts his body into a separate dimension, but still retains something remotely tangible in the current dimension, that holds his position to it or... something. srug

Did you just make that up on the fly? ermm

He has an atomic frequency when he goes intangible. Never have I seen him shifting into another dimension referenced in an actual comic book.

Meh, this is mostly hearsay, though I do recall seeing a scan once... maybe?

I'll look into it.

EDIT: Mm... tasty words...

I reckon that I don't remember anything... or if I did, it wasn't recent. Perhaps there was an unintentional retcon.

Either way, I doubt Flash could vibrate J'onn's atoms back into a solid form if he was in a separate dimension... while, actually, he probably could, but it seems improbable.

Is it true that people have just forgotten that Peter Parker was Spiderman because of One More Day? No one at all remembers?
