What ever happen to the other 7 artifacts that were made by the other gods in the bet with Cyttorak?

How does one go about changing their name on the forums?

You ever read the second to last issue of Animal Man? Where Buddy walks through the village of dead comic book characters? That's where they are.

Notice Torch claiming his blast is SUPER-NOVA...

That's back in the day hyperbole nim.

Torch has never obliterated a Solar System,
to be claiming Super-Nova levels of power.
As we know he's release his full power,
and he hasn't even been able to take out a Planet.

Besides, his official 2005 states his full potential. (Nova-blast)
Which is what it's been labeled when he has released his full power,
in more recent accounts than that faceless Torch.

\not saying he could't do it,but Eclipso's made Jean Loring strongenoough to slap Blue Deil a couple of Kilometres way,so it's not really a standard Supes feat.

hmm...

guess ill just have to find another strength scan of him in a similar vein...

actually i just re-read, and taking on board what you guys have said, when supereclipso talks about superman and marvel, he says things like 'a body worthy of eclipso' and 'my strength will finally match my will' it seems to me that while it can amp normal humans, it doesnt amp up the likes of superman, or even marvel, it just makes them less willing to hold back and so on...

So they just dissappeared into comic oblivion?

in comicdom, probably diana... outside? if anyone is old enough to remember linda carter, the same applies... if batman returns is all they're old enough to remember, then selina probably...

though christ only knows how many people hate halle berry's catwoman thinking she's the proper one...

That's what I was thinking. I mean all Diana has these days is pretty much that JLA cartoon and a movie which is still in the making. Selina has made more animated appearances then Diana. If I were to ask kids these days about who they think is better I'm willing to bet they'd go with Selina since they probably saw her in that newish "The Batman" cartoon.

So if I were to list these ladies in order of popularity (Outside Comicdom) how would they rank?

Invisible Woman
Storm
Wonder Woman
Catwoman.

In case you're wondering what brought this all up it's the recent Ms. Marvel push to number 1 female. I wanted to see if she could make it outside comicdom.

I like to pretend that Catwoman never happened. 😛

Storm (Good ol halle)
Invisible Woman
Catwoman
WW

imo... movies do wonders for characters exposure...

i still have managed never to watch catwoman in its entirety... i can watch segments but thats it...

I watched 15 minutes of the Catwoman movie on an international flight from Johannesburg International Airport to Heathrow. I wasted 15 minutes life. Could have been sleeping.

Yeah that's true. Jean Grey was never as widely known as she is now. However in terms of likability to the non-comic reader she seems to have remained the same. In the first movie she was Scotts girlfriend. In the third one...she was Scotts girlfriend on crack.

Heh, where would Poison Ivy, Batgirl and Supergirl rank on that list?

supergirl had the movie, so she'd be ok assuming you were old enough to remember it... ivy had a bit of a revival with the animated stuff, which leaves batgirl... wouldnt say she's that big outside comics at all...

they'd be outside the original 4 i think... in the order i mentioned em...

Hmm, Poison Ivy and Batgirl appeared in the Batman and Robin movie with the Governor of California though. They also appeared in most of the Batman cartoons. Batgirl had a revival in the new Batman series along with Ivy but I wouldn't place them in the same league as Selina, Storm or Sue in this day and age. Not sure about Diana...
