Was just rereading a bit of Infinity Gauntlet. Why when Thanos created a new girlfriend using the IG did he name her Terraxia? Was this some sort of weird Freudian slip?

Imagine if Terrax had turned up to the fight. "Oh Terrax, meet the new fantasy girlfriend I just created for myself - I named her TERRAXIA." That would have sent Terrax running.

Jim Starlin was high that day

Wouldn't have to be to make it a Freudian slip.

Yeah, he might be thinking of the Oedipus complex which Freud dealt with but isn't the same thing.

It's most likely that Starlin just didn't give a **** about Marv Wolfman's character Terrax and thought it was a cool sounding name.

is a character's clone considered their sibling?

Depends on the writer and context (genetic, familial, legal).

VandalSavage's clone counted as a descendant as far as his powers were concerned 😘

Does anyone else think Marvel's newest police keeping force, H.A.M.M.E.R is a reference to Marvel's Avengers trinity as opposed to just a name related to weaponry?

I mean we have already had S.H.I.E.L.D which (unintentionally?) refers to 1/3 of the trinity, Captain America and H.A.M.M.E.R could be seen as a reference to Thor. Should we be expecting A.R.M.O.U.R at some future stage or is this just a big coincidence?

Just been reading Marvel Zombies 3 and there is an organisation called A.R.M.O.R.

Is that only in the Marvel Zombies universe or does it exist in the main Marvel universe too?

Hey, is The Crossing (Avengers storyline) canon to 616?

Ares is the son of zeas and hera who are both skyfather level it make logical sense that ares should be powerful since he is they son. I was wonding why ares is not extremly powerful has the other olympian gods because most of his siblings such has apollo have heralds level power . The reason why i asked this question because in ares mini-series the olympian gods had trouble fighting Hades armies and each of the 12 main olympain gods have incredible god-like power and they could not defeat hades armies it was a stalemate untill zeus called upon ares to end the war. Zeas called upon ares again when the olympian gods were having trouble against Amatsu-Mikaboshi (the Japanese god of evil) he had to kidnap his son for him to agree to fight alongside the olympian gods. Ares most have been powerful for the olympian gods to call for his help when they are in they darkest hours. What is Ares secret powers

Well from the miniseries I was under the impression he some how projected his meta physical essence into any weapon, making it far more dangerous. However this doesn't look like this is the case. He just seems like an above Average strength God, with a lot of fighting skills, and ability to battle plan. Yeah Bendis has all but ruined Ares for me.

I think that's more of a story device than anything seeing as Ares is a god of war. After all Ares gets beaten by Herc.

was Bor more powerful than Odin?

Hard to say, it seems that neither Thor nor Odin really compared his powers with the old sky-father. We know however that he was powerful enough to kill classic Thor with a single punch while blocking the hit with mjolnir. Thor has fought sky-fathers without looking that bad, so Bor has to be around that level.

In actual mythology there is next to nothing written about Bor, so I would recommend to check current's Thor run for any indication of power given.

I've heard Marvel retconned all of the instances of Adamantium being broken or damaged into just Secondary Adamantium.I was wondering if anyone knows when they did this,I mean is there an issue it happened in or did a writer state it.

To be fair to Bendis, Ares isn't written all that differently from how he was in his "Ares" mini-series, at least in terms of ability and power (not characterization. Seriously, he all of a sudden doesn't given a **** what his son's up to? He fought TWO pantheons to get his son back...)
